  1. Scored a couple a decent headers yesterday, and now West Ham are relegated.

Do you reckon we should put an offer in for him?

I reckon 2 million plus Ameobi. A good deal IMO.

Ameobi's probably our ****test senior striker, but he's great in the CC.

Lover deserves to stay more than Ameobi, because of his work rate and the fact that he works well with other strikers and the team. Ameobi rarely looks like he gives a ****.
I think the Blackpool game said it all for me. If Ameobi could have made a pass, Lover would have had 2 goals in the first 15 minutes and basically won us the game, but Ameobi performed his usual Bambi on ice ****.

Lover and Best are a good pair, and i wouldn't sacrifice that to keep Ameobi.

Anyway, what would you offer for Ba?

If we could get a good deal for Ba like the one i mentioned, we'd still have plenty of money for maybe another two strikers and an attackin mid and maybe a CB.

A striker who has scored 7 goals in 12 apps in the EPL is gonna go for more than 2 million plus a **** player.

    KEEP AMEOBI!
We cry out for loyalty and the bloke is toon through and through!
He's not as bad as everyone makes out and even though he shudn't be our 1st choice he's good backup!
As for Ba I like him however his knee worries me and we've been a hospital for too many years!

It's odd you've just posted this. I was just wondering whether we'd be able to pick him up.

I think a few teams will be looking at him, maybe £5-8m would be more realistic.

He will definitely cost more then £2million + Shola.

Letsjust hope we don't get Cole, just seen his miss...

  6. Loyalty my arse. He's only stayed because he's ****e and no one else wanted him, and the few bids we've had in for him we've turned down.

I have no doubt that he likes being here, but he's **** and his EFFORT is extremely poor. If a player is technically ****e, i'll not hate him just for that, but if a player doesn't try, i will not respect him. There's a part of me that love Shola, but my brain has been telling me for some time that he needs to go. He's good coming off the bench and when he's trying to keep or earn his first team spot, but when he knows he's not going to be challenged, he goes back into ****ty lazy Shola mode.

There are others that try 20x harder than Shola that deserve to stay. Shola's laziness should have gotten him kicked out of the club long ago.

  7. Even though Shola is **** at EPL level, but why i think this would be a good deal for WHU, was Shola's goals/games ratio in the CC. Was it something like 10 goals in 11 games at one point?

He's a good player in the CC.

Shola sat on the sidelines when he was a "great talent" seems like a good influence on the youngsters and has played through pain wearing a mask for us when we were still in danger of relegation
Shola turns up in crucial games for me!
Wigan at home 2-0 down comes on and nets
Wolves at home was quality and scores
    Consistently scores against the scum
The way he plays the game i admit makes it look like he doesnt care!
However you can't expect the bloke to hare round everywhere because thats not his game!
He has a decent goals return and wins enough in the air to make him a decent back up striker!

I think West Ham want to rely on their youth players anyway. Shola would probably be too old for any model they might have to get back up to the EPL.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I couldn't imagine Shola playing in any other shirt but ours...He's ****e, but he's our ****e!

Also, I don't think you can question his loyalty - wore the mask, played through severe pain under Roeder and Sir Bobby (both times, needing an operation).

  11. He's our ****test striker, so if we're going to buy 2/3 new ones, he's have to accept being 5th/6th choice if he wants to stay.

Shola will not go to West Ham.

He's a vital cog in the forthcoming Messi transfer.

No thanks to Ba. Suspect knees...

I don't think he is our ****test striker!
Everyone bums nile rangers talent- The blokes a gangster who hasn't scored a goal for us (HMMMMMM- better than shola)
Lovenkrands - Can't really compare because they are two different types however Lover is a little bit more classy maybe?
Kuqi- Cracking bloke but he is not better than shola
So at the moment he is our best/ 2nd best striker
I hope next year that he is our 4th/5th striker however I'd keep him

If West Ham are selling Ba for £2M plus an average 30 yr old striker then half the clubs in the Premier League will be bidding for him.

  15. Well i meant Senior strikers mate. Ranger is a youngun that needs to go out on loan, and Kuqi doesn't really count and won't be here next season.

    So it will be

New striker, New striker, Best, Lover, Shola.

It depends who we bring in as to whether lover is above shola or not!
If we bring in one small bloke and one big bloke then
New striker, new striker, best, Shola, Lover
At the moment everyone is suggesting we get rid of him however u know what we get with him and he scores 7-10 goals a season
Also this season we have found ourselves thread bare with strikers, so if we didnt have Shola we'd have had lover, Ranger and Kuqi
With only one of them who has scored any goals for us
Lets loan Ranger out and hope his attitude changes because at the moment he has TROUBLE written all over his face
Then lets get in one nippy little striker and one big bloke and hope they notch 30 between them
But Shola is not bad backup and I bet he's a cracking bloke in the dressing room and should be a great influence on the younger generation

  17. As i said there's a part of me that will always love him, but he'll only be a 5th choice striker if he stays. The new strikers that Pardew will sign will be of good quality, they have to be if we want to push up the table. He knows what we need. And if we do get the quality we desire, Ameobi will be below the two new strikers, and Best and Lover.

So if he wants to stay then fine, but i personally hope he never gets a first team start next season, but knowing our luck with injuries/suspensions, he probably will.

Pardew rates Ameobi, he will stay and be 2nd/3rd choice imo.

Yeah I hope we get better strikers
But with Shola he's consistent and he does notch goals against the weaker teams! (8 for the season?)
We want better strikers but if we loose the target man that we're after through injury
Then Shola is a good replacement hopefully only for a couple of games!
But I just wish everyone would get off his back!
The bloke does a job for us!

£2 Million!? You're deluded young chap. Even though his fee was undisclosed, Ba was on the verge of signing for Stoke for £7 Million. So i doubt West Ham paid any less than that. So they aint gonna sell him for 2 Mill are they. He'll probs cost around £9 Million. If not more
