It appears that Ashley Williams is a big target for us in the summer so I found some stats (via Dan Kennett) which are quite interesting. He compares Williams with Skrtel, Terry and Kompany: Season 11/12 Blocks Per Match AW - 1.4 MS - 1.1 JT - 0.9 VK - 0.9 Tackles Per Match AW - 1.5 MS - 1.7 JT - 1.8 VK - 2.9 Aerials Won Per Match AW - 1.5 MS - 2.3 JT - 1.7 VK - 1.0 Aerials Win Rate AW - 0.505 MS - 0.804 JT - 0.726 VK - 0.714 Clearances Per Match AW - 8 MS - 5.3 JT - 5.8 VK - 6.2 Interceptions Per Match AW - 2.2 MS - 1.5 JT - 1.9 VK - 2.4 Long Passes Completed Per Match AW - 8.8 MS - 4.2 JT - 2.9 VK - 4.2 Defensive Half Passes Per Match AW - 42 MS - 30 JT - 36 VK - 32 All players played over 80% of all EPL minutes last season.
You would have thought the 'per match' figures would be higher for him with him playing for Swansea (no disrespect intended)
Don't think it will be Agger that gets the boot..... Ian Rush, who last week was in Copenhagen to promote Liverpool academy talked to Politiken.de about Agger Ian Rush: "The important thing is that Agger loves the club and fans love him." Ian Rush: "When Stevie retires, Agger has the potential and determination to take over the captaincy." Ian Rush: "Agger is undoubtedly Rodgers' first name on the team sheet. For BR he isn't just a centre back. He is an attacking centre back."
