I have forced myself to back Abramovich FC to win the CL, which will be a slight compensation if we are robbed of our rightful place in next seasons tournament. So, win win situation really, much rather have Spurs in the CL but a bit of cash courtesy of the Chavs will heal some of the disappointment.
Oddly enough, it's the last couple of weeks that have felt like death row, whereas I'm really looking forward to this game. If Chelsea wins, it just means this year is cursed. Can't be helped. I feel increasingly good about the fact Spurs salvaged fourth, even if turns out to be meaningless. As to the game, in my experience it's 1/6th who's better, 1/6th tactics, 1/6th home field and 50% dumb luck. There's some chance Bayern can get an early goal and roll, a much better one it will be anyone's game late. Es gibt nur ein Schweinsteiger...
And thats why this one is difficult, for me I can't stand Germany and I have never supported, backed, or hoped a German team would win anything. Saturday night will be new territory for me...and I feel dirty already...only football can do this to you!
Meh, I was backing Germany in their second round match of the 2010 World cup - and won a tidy sum (well, for a ten year old) on West Germany winning Italia '90...
