When we wake up Sunday morning
    Humming that old Beatles song,
    ´Yesterday´, while stretching and yawning
Whose troubles will all be far gone?
Will it be those near the Wirral
Who have the most reason to sing,
Or could it be the yellow peril
With points tucked under their wing,
For we´re looking forward and waiting
For this Saturday to come round,
    And eagerly anticipating
A good game up there on your ground,
It´s good to be back in the top flight
Up here where the air is more thin,
And where every game is a dogfight
And also much harder to win,
And though it is Anfield this Saturday
Our lads too, will never walk alone,
As three thousand fans go watch us play
On those days when we´re not at home,
And just as at Chelsea and Man. U
We´ve really got nothing to lose,
So we´ll be out to do all we can do
To prevent you lot having a cruise,
But we´re under no great illusion
This one will be tough for our team,
But we could still cause some confusion
As at the Bridge and the Theatre of Dreams,
And to add to that company, Anfield
Would be a feather in our cap,
Especially if our efforts can yield
A goal or two to make you flap,
And if we should happen to return
    Home, rewarded in any way,
That would give us energy to burn
For the next several upcoming frays,
And fair to say, we´ve been improving
Since that thirteenth of August start,
So this weekend could just be soothing
To the eyes and the old dicky heart,
With two of the Scottish contingent
Of managers there on the line,
Both keeping an eye that is stringent
On things, this game could really shine,
And whether the points should be gone west
Or east, at the end of the fray,
Here´s to a hard and fair contest
    With football winning the day.

    Yours quietly confidently,

its a tradition of rbf to write his posts in poetry form and we love it <ok>
    excellent as always rbf

unfortunately i can't see anything other than a defeat but this is one of our 'bonus' matches - any points will have to be viewed that way! our big match is the following week at home to blackburn <ok>

Even taking the loathing into consideration, you were vey unlucky against the mancs. You had our disease - not converting chances. Let's hope for a cracker, and I can assure you, we won't be expecting a walk in the park <ok>

Hi RBF - how can you keep on excelling the way you do?

I remember a few good results from Anfield, but, like Superman, I fear this may be a step too far, but never say never ;)

I've been watching the newly promoted sides with great interest. swansea seem to be the best defensively, qpr seem to have improved with last minute deals and look good but norwich for me are the side who have the best package overall and thier performances have been impressive.

I hope we bring the a game this weekend cos the one thing our side has been guilty of consistently is assuming we can win and not playing with any urgency.

After last weekend I think Brendan Rodgers would disagree with you there <ok>

Testament to the mentality Paul Lambert has instilled in the squad, we didn't freeze or choke at Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford and there's no reason for us to do so at Anfield.

swansea are weak defensively if you push high up as we proved at the weekend. i personally think we have the best squad out of the three promoted. qpr may have the big names but would anyone take joey barton over bradley johnson? adel taarabt over wes hoolahan? jay bothroyd over steve morison? wright-phillips over pilkington? anton ferdinand over russell martin? i think the answer is a resounding NO!

It seemed like a nice place but I didn't have the best experience.
I was staying on business in Diss for a couple of days and thought I'd visit your fine city on the way back. Went for something to eat on saturday night, came out, went the wrong way round the castley thing and ended up on the opposite side of town from where I was staying. Asked several different people for directions and got sent in several different directions (including a bus driver fgs-taking public transport must be fun).
In the end, dug out a street plan and found my way back.

What pedestrianisation the only bit that's been pedestrianised is Gentlemens Walk there is no other pedestrian areas well except inside the Malls but unless you're Clarkson being chased by baddies in a Corvette then you'd expect not to see any cars in there hehehehe. Even the frontage to Chapelfield (where the Malthouse multi-storey used to be) isn't pedestrianised, it looks it but then you get run over LOL.

St Stephens should be traffic free or at least buses only Norwich is still very pedestrian unfriendly as far as these things go and has quite a good ring road system, there aren't that many one way streets that cause a proplem. Don't get me wrong it's not all rosy but I think we ought to be thankful for the way it is

I have only been once too. I went for the final game of the Kop. 1-0 Norwich win with Goss scoring in the kop end. Liverpool were poor that day. Wondered if the occasion got to them. Norwich had been superb away from home with big wins at Leeds (4-0) and Everton (5-1) that year.

London Street, Back of the Inns, All round Jarrolds - Bedford street etc, Davey Place, Timber Hill, The side of M&S (that used to go up to the multi story and the back of Rowntrees). These are all pedestrianised areas that were at one time open to traffic. Castle Meadow is only open to busses and Taxi's and the pedstrian area of Price of Wales Road has been significantly widened. Also, the Trowse end of Riverside Road is no more and the Riverside bars etc are now there.

Lots of Norwich has been changed to assist Pedestrians.
