Not sure whether this merits its own thread or else where to put it, but I missed his appointment last month taking over from Tony Parks as goalkeeping coach. Don't know much about him other than his playing career, but obviously was a decent 'keeper with international and plenty of Champ/Prem experience. He's coached at W Brom for five years, which is a decent stint. Ruddy has been considerably better in the last couple of months (admittedly during Parks' time too) so I'm not sure whether this will have any effect, but he was released when Pulis brought in his own staff, so I don't think much can be read into it.
He was certainly a decent keeper. Whether that makes him a good coach, who knows? Doesn't seem as though the top drawer keepers tend to go in for coaching particularly.
