Apparently according to some no mark on BBC 606 we've signed Ireland. He provided no evidence for it so he's probably speaking out of his ass.

I brought this up to ask two things:
    1) You think he'll sign tomorrow afternoon or tomorrow night like Keane just has.
    2) What are we going to do with him?! I can't see him fitting in!

Better all round player than Nolan IMO, wouldnt want to lose Nolans goals and leadership though, so cant see where else he would fit in really!

He was awesome at City. Has been poor at Villa.

If we see his city form I'l be happy, we might go back to using 5 in midfield to accomodate him and Nolan.

Real question here is, why were you on 606? <grr>

Nolan is better than Ireland. Nolan is consistent, loyal, has a eye for goal and is a good leader. Ireland has only one of them traits an eye for goal.

I don't think Bolton were saying that nor were we around the time we signed Nolan. As for Ireland, he's not a mercanary, only on his second club at 24. More importantly how did Barton and Ireland get on when both at City?

As far I see he's not a starter but is another expierenced body in CM. We may be very grateful for that in a couple of months time if we're unlucky with injuries and suspensions.

I don't think there is any history between Ireland and Barton. If there was, the papers would have gotten a hold of it and blown it all out of proportion

Disagree. Ireland is better in his ''general play'' than Nolan IMO, he's more skillful and technically superior, a more rounded midfielder if you ask me.

The Man City Ireland>>Nolan(of today) without a doubt.

Did you see how good he was in the 08-09 season?

I think he's an excellent addition and gives us another option, if he goes on like a helmet just send him back, if we get him back on top form then bonus!

Ireland was the greatest thing since sliced bread 18 months ago. He couldn't just walk on water he could also swim through land. So there's definetly a good player in his bald head, he just needs to be loved goddamit, loved!

It all depends on which Ireland we're getting (Many City or Villa) but I can't see him getting a good run in the team with the midfield we have got....

    Barton...Tiote...Nolan...Ben Arfa(Hopefully soon)

So injuries permitting I can only see him being a squad player. I really do hope the AP is looking at a forward, but doubt it as I saw in an article (Ranger Interview?) that he was happy with the forwards we have...

The Ireland signing reminds me of the signings of Smith and Viduka... a year or two late.
