With the transfer window about to close i am seriosly concerned about the lack of fire power up front. The Cisse rumours are still there and looking at his scoring record this could be our new 'Bent' which we needed.

Do you think Bruce has a striker in mind or do you think he was finished but the last couple of defeats may force open the chairman's wallet again?

It has been said many times that we are weak in LB, LW and striker so who would you realistically try to get in before the window closes?

For me Cisse looks excellent but no prem experience.
I do also think Defoe would be perfect with Sess up front and would add finishing to our good passing.

    Any thoughts?

Mate the latest reports would suggest that three clubs have entered bids for Cisse, Sunderland, Blackburn and Fulham. Blackburn have apparantly placed abid of 6 million (which I dont think will be enough). So I reckon its down to us and Fulham heres hoping its not going to be another Geography issue with the bright lights of London being the main attraction. With regards to the lack of prem experience I reckon if he can knock em in in the Bundasliga then he should be able to do that here, his goal scoring record is certainly impressive and I believe hes got 4 in three games so far this season, plus I am not so sure Senegal will be involved in any African cup of Nations though I may be wrong.

I am convinced at least one player will come in, a striker and a big name one at that.

Its simple to me, dont get one and the manager and club are done for this season, we cant score goals but play the players we have in their best positions we will make loads of chances, a Bent/SKP is needed

I think we will stick with what we have until January, however we still have not got any loan players in and Bruce was keen to use this market as he stated over the summer, when teams state their 25man squad i'm sure there will be frantic activity to snap up the unwanted players.

Splashing out £10 million plus on an unproven striker may be seen as desperation, unless we have been tracking him for sometime

Alright lads. Back after a year out from 606. Been following the articles for months now and though I'd get involved again.

Agreed with the above comment. (Bruce we trust) Think when the 25 man squads are nominated there will be a mass of transfer activity and probably from Citeh and the Spuds. Highly unlikely but I would love to see Krancjar and Hutton on loan and for us to buy Defoe (Not ideal as he's a bit of a twerp I know). Maybe SWP from Citeh .... If Bolton dont buy him .... Come on Brucie ... Save yourself as I am sick of all the negativity! A few new faces and us to give Swansea a good spanking and it'll give us all some much required relief!

Welcome back my friend, I think you have mentioned the usual suspects but they are all good PL players who will improve our squad. I think you have to look at loans now as spending a load of money on a foreign striker is a massive gamble if it doesnt pay off.

I wouldnt mind Onouha back to play right back and shift Bardo back out to the left as it worked well last season and was strong both defensively and offensively.

Kranjcar would be ideal for us and give us a bigger goal threat in the side, depends on who spurs keep/sign.

Not convinced at all, sorry to harp on but the manager is totally clueless, if we got the best striker in the world, Bruce would put the number one shirt on him.

Ive actually just been looking at Defoe's stats and they aint great really for a guy playing for Spurs who a good side and create a lot.
Cisse's record is truely great and may be the best choice.

Scott Sinclair or Max Gradel would give us more width, but striker still more important for me

I think as other players start to come and go over the next week, there will be more movement. Two of the players we are/were linked with are at spurs and they've not been busy YET:emoticon-0116-evilg

We get SWP and Defoe. These will (with Sess) make our attack look like subbuteo.
