Shame. Still think we're lacking in the wide areas though, although presumably De Ridder has a recall option in case of an emergency.
BBC feed: Dan in Southampton, via text: "Craven Cottage Pie is ridiculous. They'd obviously play at White Tart Lane." Who are all these impersonators?
So that leaves us very light on the ground. A big risk to not bring in a few more players to strengthen the team/squad...even if on loan. Hopefully this transfer window doesn't come back to haunt us.
Jordan Sibley on Twitter: "Can confirm that Steve De Ridder to Bolton on loan for a month is our last piece of business for this window. #deadineday #SaintsFC"
Kind of glad we haven't panic bought over this window. Having said that, other clubs must be licking their lips at the fact we only signed Forren.
I suppose Aaron Martin & Danny Butterfield can still go out on loan when the FL Loan Window opens up. Can't see a role for them here.
Ben Foster on Twitter: "Nice to see a football club that does deals legitimately. Deadline day is the best!"
Better comment than my i fear the worst . Wonder if we were still in for players ? We will never know.......
Boo!!! It's at this stage I'm going to shamefully admit that as I was off work today I have been expectantly sat in front of SSN virtually all day. Boo again!!!
I'm sure our rivals are pretty happy that we haven't strengthened much. Although, in theory having a 'better' manager will mean all of our players will improve anyway!
If we hope to play high tempo , pressurising football as suggested by pitch then great. To do it with our current first team and not pick up injuries is dreamland. Our squad is now weaker than before, meaning youngsters previously out of the frame will now be in a relegation scrap. A young inexperienced squad will find it . Just ask Aston Villa!
