So then, the time is here when we all stay glued to our computer screens until 11pm tonight.

How many players do you think we will sign today and what positions do you think we will cover?

How many players do you think we will sell/release today?

Will we make a shock signing?

Personally, i think we will bring in 2 more, a CB and a RB but no shock signings

I think we may let a couple of youngsters go on loan and i think there will be one surprise sale!!

We'll send Ainsley and Murray out on loan, and we'll get in another two midfielders one on loan, the other permanent. We'll moan that PJ didn't sign any CB's, and he'll tell us that he didn't have enough time to secure the players he wanted (or he'll tell us that there are no players out there that will fit into the Ipswich way)

can i ask a question. why don't you just buy daryl murphy?

he obviously wants to sign for you, i understand his family like suffolk and want to stay, celtic can't be asking much for him, he's hardly pulled up trees for them.

    why persist with the loans?

If we can get him for nothing at the end of the season, then why not loan him this season. would be silly to shell out money for him in my view.

yep, runs out end of this season. I like him, he is honest, not a world beater, but you know that he will put in 100% every game and with his height out wide it can be a good outlet for us. A bit like Steve Whitton in the old days.

if i was going to bet on it, i'd bet that we won't sign anyone but a couple may leave <ok>

All this is very exciting but we seem to be signing attacking minded players, would actually like to see a couple of defenders. if we can get Boyd, a RB and a CB then it has been a great window for us, as long as the CB isn't KIRK CLUBFOOT!!!

    Just read this also,

IPSWICH Town are hopeful that long-term triallist Cheick Kourouma will complete his move to the club before tonight’s 11pm deadline.

Credit to the lad, he has been chasing around Europe to get this sorted, must be keen!!

If we get Boyd we would have a pretty good midfield and attack, probably one of the best in the division but defensively it looks pretty dire!! Who needs a defence, not sure where we are going to fit all these attacking players in 1 team perhaps we're just going for 1 at the back!!

I'd like to see Boyd come in, although we don't desperately need him, if we can get a player of his quality in that would be great!! Other than that would like to see 2 CB's minimum and possible a couple of fullbacks, 1 to give Cresswell competition so we can send Whight out on loan and 1 RB so we can push Edwards up to RM (as I think we could do with a proper RW, rather than a player who likes to cut in) and that would give hewitt competition. But tbh I'd be happy if we just signed 2 CBs, as if need be I think Chambers can play RB and Smith can go LB. We don't want our squad going from threadbare to too big!! If we do sign all these players I'm gonna say as ever the gel word, I think it'll take a while for us to get going.

Squad is taking shape nicely, although lack of CB's and we actually have no deadwood really apart from maybe Ellington and ALB!!

What do you think of your transfer dealings this summer? I think they're a bit hit and miss apart from Snodgrass and Butterfield I think you've left the transfer policy of Lambert a bit, doesn't seem like you are team building anymore just trying to get players in!! Not too sure what you're going to do this year, think you may well struggle which is the first time I've said that in a while!!
