i watched the game the support was shocking they switched off after the second goal, booed them off half time and full time and had a proper fire drill going on with 10-15 minutes left on the clock. the only signing in the second half was abuse for nugent which as usual he rose above and performed brilliantly. lovely strike too. we could have done with keeping him this season in his current form seen some good energetic performances from him.

they may well laugh at our numbers of late but i know which fans id rather be in with.

No one came out of it looking good. The supporters fell for it and Nugent took it too far. But at £40,000 a week, he certainly wouldn't be my favourite ex-player.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to watch the game due to work.
I left work at half time and listened for about 10 minutes before switching over to Capital FM.

Watched the last 30 mins of the game at home and barely looked up from my phone once.

Team was poor tonight with no plan B and key players out.

People have jobs and other commitments so mid week games are always harder to get to encrypt the poor attendance. There is a thread about this on our board entitled mnf.

I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome back SB3 and his pathetic gloating. Nice to see he only comes out when Saints lose and he stays away almost the rest of the time.

Also we are still in the top 2 which come the end of April is perfect. Where will you be? Mid-table? Bottom? Cease to exist?

I have felt sorry for Pompey in the last few months but having read some of the comments on this thread you are all as bad as each other!

Our performance tonight was extremely poor and I like thousands of others was not happy.

The thing that annoys me most is, why didn't he score goals like that for us a bit more often? It looked like it took a slight deflection to me, too.

  10. I do object to games being played on a Monday evening.

As for you SB3, I hereby send you and 'Nuge' to go and sit on the naughty step and reflect upon what you've done. You've upset the stripey contingent of Hampshire!

Good to see some of the blue fewer still have a sense of humour with your Club being the embarrassment it is to football, it must be hard to take.
But at least our poor performance and defeat has brightened your day.

Wasn't it another case for Southampton of no Lambert = no goals?

  14. We'd actually scored 5 goals in our last 2 games, both away from home, without Lambert.

When describing what went wrong last night, I would not know where to begin.

Im surprised you didnt sell Nugent at the start of last season. He is a very good player and will score goals in this league no problem. He has been quality for us and for some reason he just loves winding up opposition fans. He even did it to us when he scored the winner for Pompey at our place last season
