Brilliant bit of buying from Coyle, ey?

I mean yeah, he only scored 9 goals in 63 apps for Liverpool, but there may have been some hidden talent, so Bolton decided to take a punt on him for a reported £4mill fee.

OH WAIT, he's only scored 1 goal in 12 apps. What a ****ing ****e player.

N'Gog and Obertan have followed incredibly similar career arcs...I don't think N'gog will ever become a stand-out, and we can only hope Obertan turns it around.

i keep thinking about jonas and praying obertan can turn it round was a bit disappointed he was jeered last match when he went off i know people get frustrated but it's not going to do the lad any good he's going to get picked so get behind him we were all told he was a confidence player so booing/jeering isn't good.

At least he's better than his cousin...do a google search to revisit a former Tyneside character that still causes me nightmares...

He was shockingly bad in the second half yesterday. Probably one of the worst performances I've seen this season.

This! I would never boo one of our players but plenty do and I can see why. All my mates hated him from the beginning but I went with the confidence thing and said give him time he'll get better etc and he hasn't. I admit that I was wrong about him and to be honest I've lost patience with him now. He's had plenty of time to gain confidence and to get better but he hasn't so as far as I'm concerned he's blown his chance, he's had about 16/17ish games or something to gain confidence and to start playing well but yet he still plays ****e. What makes it even more frustrating is he has the pace to beat his man but he never does. He bombs it up the wing then he suddenly stops and does about 25 step overs on the spot then passes the ball backwards to Simpson or gifts it to the opposition. Every time he does this. Against Swansea he was slightly better, he put in his first cross of the season, it's just a shame he didn't look up first to see that no one was anywhere near where he crossed it. Other than that he ran around in circles and then just passed the ball back to Simpson or Cabaye. Mid way through the first half he had to drop back to right back because even Simpson realised that he was better on the wing so Simpson took up the more advanced role for a couple of minutes. Obertan is the worst player I have seen playing for us for a long time.
