    "After making his debut against Blackburn, Meyler continued to hold down a place in the side before damaging his cruciate knee ligaments against Manchester United at the back end of the season, just days after signing a new five-year contract.

    The lively Irishman – an under-21 international - returned after an eight-month absence only to pick up another knee injury at Aston Villa in January 2011."

    It happens. But that was a while back. I think Meyler will only be a loan deal - for now at least and If it happens at all.
