    According to the Radio Leicester (1.30pm) Sports Desk Dave Jones has defo applied for the Job and Billy Davies has also confirmed his interest

    I am sure there are many more but these two seem to be the only two confirmed.:emoticon-0108-speec:emoticon-0108-speec

    Im sure that i read somewhere that they have recieved over 100 applications. But this could include Clough24 stating he would use the 20Million to help our geographical "rivals" enhance their squad so that they provide us with better competition!

    I would definitely take the Scottish Goblin, not so keen on Jones though.

    How about we wait a little bit and get Mick McCarthy?

    I think both would be decent appointments who have a history of doing well in this league but both have struggled in the league higher up. Probably prefer Davies to Jones but neither would be terrible. But they do both have this image as nearly men who will always get you up there fighting but never quite enough to get you promoted. Probably a safer appointment than someone like Clark though.

    Jones should have taken that Cardiff squad up and 2 years in a row they bottled it.

    Agreed. Cardiff had money and he still couldn't get them up. Last thing we need.

    No to Dave Jones

    Never in a million years to Dowie and maybe to Billy Davies

    Monday morning we should make our move for Martin O'Neill, if that fails try again on the Tuesday and the Wednesday and if that fails go for Mark Hughes and if that fails take Billy Davies

    Agreed, but not Davies, Curbishley

    Maybe try Thurs and Fri as well?

    I'd say we've given up on MON judging by the reports so far. Agree that Hughes should be the next port of call.

    Yep true.

    Some of his players went on the PISS before the vital game(s).

    Personally, I think he'd be exactly the manager we need.

    * Experienced in this div.
    * Plays good football
    * Point to prove after 6 years & 5 days at Cardiff.

    Still my personal choice is LEE CLARKE!!

    You could get your wish, sounds as if it could be him with Keegan as director of football, going round twitter and in the fail tomorrow.

    I'd be happy if it was Dave Jones or Billy Davies tbh, there are alot worse managers in the unemployment line atm.

    Dave Jones would be an amazing appointment for you.

    People saying he is a bottler at the final hurdle....

    Took over at the end of 2007

    2008 FA Cup Finalists

    2009 Just missed out on the play offs, but managed to sign some huge names in the world of football

    2010 Took Cardiff to a play off final but lost 3-2 to Blackpool

    2011 Took Cardiff into the play offs but lost to Reading

    Depends on how you look at it, some pecimists will say he doesnt have what it takes to take a team up.

    Me personally, i think he everything that it takes, the last couple of games in the play off/final are a 50/50 match andit can come down to luck and the players on the day. The manager
    has done everything right throughout the season to get them there, the players have to finish the job off.

    Dave Jones can spend money, and spends it well.

    I would have loved to hve him as our manager, he knows this division inside out!

    If you get Ian Dowie, then you may aswell write the season off!!

    Wouldn't be unhappy with him and would prefer him to someone like Clark as he has that Championship experience but there is still something about his record of falling at the final hurdle that concerns me. That said, if he was to be our manager, I think I'd be happy enough. Would prefer Davies though if we were to go down the experienced Championship manager route.
