darren jones leaves the sinking ship. he has agreed terms to leave with 5 months of his contract to go. he has tweeted he is unemployed, what the hell is going on up there,.
Someone is managing to bollocks up relationships with players. Too many half decent and/or committed players have been let go in the past couple of years for non footballing reasons. No one can convince me that the 2 donkeys we have at the heart of our defence are better than Jones.
Well it all started with Ben Davies and has gone down hill ever since....we always built teams in the past....there appears to be little building and hasn't for a while! Our promotion was inspirational but the best players still left...including the captain. Sharps should never have left......let's produce a list of others who shouldn't have.....keep it to recent times ...Steve Ogrizovic (Spelling cr*p) doesn't count! Then we can wallow over the list as we wallow at bottom of league....I don't think anyone has used the phrase 'freefall' yet this season....let me be the first! Also let's think where the next win is......March for me!
KDS, Could not agree more - Jones is not everyone's cup of tea but he has put in some decent performances this year and was always committed to the cause.
Can't believe he's gone. Puts paid to the rumour he was back off to south wales as he is supposedly signing for Wimbledon. Let's just hope we have some decent players coming in and this frees up wages...
there must have been a hell of a bust up in the dressing room for jones to go yesterday and graham today. i do not envy the new managers job. a rebellous dressing room and no money to pour oil on troubled waters.
It is amazing to hear it said we paid up his contract so we have not saved any money - I suspect Jones was fed up of the unfairness of two of the other centre-backs being deemed better than him despite the evidence on the field- I am not surprised everything has gone pear-shaped this season if that is the way the club was being run.
