We desperately need some creativity in our midfield this is what really let us down last year; the only player with any spark was Stewart. We need to invest greatly in this area and not bring back bloody Guzan his command of his box was horrendous.

First post, been reading for a while thought it was time to sign up as I had been biting my tongue for too long.

I have this feeling it aint going to happen with Danns. I hope there's a plan B with regards to midfield.

We do have to pay extra for better players through the spine of the team.
If we don't accept that we won't get promoted.

We wont get promoted under the current management anyway. Far to negative, in all my years watchin Hull City I have never been so bored as I was this year at the KC, we looked like the away side most of the time. Mr Bullard is getting forced out of the club for having a personality, NP needs to find one and learn to play decent football.

I wonder if you have the same IP address as TWF?

I do not have the same IP address as TWF and anyone capable is more than welcome to check. However having read this forum for around two months in-between working hard, I actually do think TWF has some very valid points in some cases, people (especially the younger ones) just jump on the bandwagon of slating him because its TWF and want to “fit in”. Fair, he does sometimes say things to wind people up but his angle of viewing Hull City is just a realists view were as most people on this forum use rose tinted glasses when discussing City issues.

doesnt look too good does it. we cant even attract a decent championship midfielder to the club. this wage structure thing is stupid i think. if other teams are willing to pay more wages to get a player surely we must do the same ? otherwise we'll never land a top target and will have to get a bunch of kids signed up like the man-u youngsters. i dont mean we should pay silly wages like bullard & oli, but we have to be competitive.

we need someone like danns in midfield, pay his bloody wages and have done with it. if anything im sure we've saved on the wages by signing the 4 man-u players, they wont be on much. but when a 28 year old comes along who could make the difference to being promoted next season, you have to pay him higher wages.

another season where we've failed to land our prime 2 targets (doesnt look like ayala is happening either)

another point... because danns is a free transfer, arnt we already saving money ? put some of that onto his wages !

NP fears old characters in the dressing room as he likes to be boss, he knows by signing 18-24 year old nobodies he will be in charge and when he says jump they will say how high. Older guys will have their opinions having played around the clubs and leagues and have potential to be more out spoken a prime example of this is Ian Ashbee, how NP can come in and ship out our inspirational leader the way he did is a disgrace. You all look through the rose tinted glasses with NP but I feel he has done a hell of a lot wrong since he joined the club. We need to blend this youth with some older heads but he will only bring in ex Leicester players he knows will be “yes boys”

I'd love to see you say that to his face.

Then you'd see how much he fears people.

Oh, and by the way, just about everything you put in that post is wrong.

Whaaaat? Cos it's all gone silent? NP doesn't work like Brownie/Duffen; he plays with his cards close to his chest until it's time to show 'em.

I think Jimmy B knows why Ashbee started to **** up.....

We don't know that yet. Even if he does go somewhere else, then it's just tough. Creative midfielders don't grow on trees so when you get a decent on available for free, he's going to be in demand. Bradley Johnson has got a move to the Premier league and he's OK but not great. There's competition for any reasonable player.

What a ridiculous comment to make. We can only pay what we can pay. We need several players and we're limited in our budget because McShane, Kilbane, Olofinjana, Ghilas and Bullard will earn in the region of SIX AND A HALF MILLION POUNDS this season. Think about that. I'd rather we finished 16th on a budget than risked our future for a tilt at the play-offs.

Would be disappointed to lose out on Danns as I'm sure AP will be.
He did say on Radio Humberside the other day that Danns and Hobbs were the main targets at the moment and once they were sorted they could relax and sort the others out.
Just have to wait for an Official statement.
