Just wondered what everyones thoughts on Jackman now were? Versatile player but now we have someone just as versatile in Lee, and Martin seeming to have the LB position, where does Jackman fit in? I'm sure some of you would still have him in the First XI but personally see him as a bit part player from now on.
He is too small and not strong enuf for the midfield and we have better options now. I reckon he would be better than Martin at LB he used to play there and was quite good
i agree, he just hasnt shown he is good enough from the 1st time he was with us. i feel his time with us has come to an end.
I feel it's partly because he hasn't had a regular starting position in our team because last time with us and at Northampton he was really good but now i wouldn't pick him at all it's a shame because i know we'll let him go to another team in our league and he'll suddenly gain form but i feel his time is up, we can cut the wage bill by moving him on and that will give us money to bring in a striker/wideman/goalkeeper if Flitney turns out to be diabolical.
He always played his football for us at LB in his first spell at the club. The reason i feel he has been so in-effective in the middle is because not just his size but the general size of the entire midfield. IMO there is no doubting Jackman's ability to pass the ball and if, with the new signings ie. Lee/Montrose we have someone who will do the physical side of things and allow Jackman more time and space on the ball i think it could be a combination that works well for the team next season.
