John Percy ‏@John__Percy #lcfc set to sign Danny Higginbotham on loan from #Stoke #scfc Decent cover while SSL is out.
Wow. Couldn't get into a **** Forest side and when he did he played Left Back. Underwhelmed with this.
I still think Moore will play. Should anything of happened to Moore or Morgan there was no cover. Now we have Higginbotham Just because we have signed him dont mean he will play
not sure...ask charlie or strovolos, they are experts.... they get lots of "cheek" injuries together...not sure how though...
He is cover i think, and better than some of you give him credit for - Nige likes his solid defenders. Though i do swear he is a LB...
I'm a bit surprised if this one's true, doesn't seem like an NP signing at all, he's well past his best.
why do people not think that NP likes a little experience? Look at our squad now - if Morgan gets injured wheres the experience at CB?
He does like a bit of experience, he really liked Barmby and Dawson with us and he brought in McKenna, who's done a decent job too, but Higginbottom still seems a bit odd to me.
He loved Berner, Oakley, Howard. Yes he ideally likes to PURCHASE young, and rightly so, but he also knows that all squads need experience. Seems like a Nige signing to me - solid defender who likes to defend and nothing more.
...And Solano for both of us. This definitely sounds like short-term cover to me. Probably in until the end of the year, or maybe even less, to cover for Whitbread and St Ledger. Also to prevent Moore having to take on too much responsibility. Seems sensible to me.
Got a few Stoke City supporting friends who both seem to rate him, at least they did a year ago. I'd take him personally on loan until SSL and Whitbread are ready, would probably prefer a young CB to come in on a permanent, perhaps with a little flair to compliment big Wes.
I think he will sign for about 2 months intially just to cover St. Ledger and Whitbread. If he does well we could extend the loan or sign him
Is Whitbread injured then? Nothing wrong with having experience at the back, worked wonders for Hobbs
