Looks from the website that Danny Haynes may well be leaving Barnsley less than 12 months after move. Could it be that we did make the right decision in shifting him? perhaps rumours were correct about dressing room. Shame we didn't shift 3 or 4 more at the same time.

But have you spotted the clubs that are interested: Portsmouth, Burnley, Notts Forest and Leicester. It appears he is moving up in the club standings with his next transfer. So there must be some talent in the lad?

Is there any city strikers past or present that Leicester aren't interested in, seems a common theme is appearing,

I'm sure Nicky Hunt is a true No9!

Yes, but he has always had "huge potential" but so far, he has failed to live up to it...

The reason Haynes didn't live up to his potential here is clear. He played with us for a year, during a time when Maynard was scoring for fun. We made a poor decision in letting a skilled player go after barely enough time to properly settle into the squad. He started well at Barnsley, even netting against us and I still firmly believe that he'll be a top Championship striker in the next couple of years.

I think he'd do quite well at Leicester, and it doesn't surprise me that some good teams have their eye on him. If he's given a season to find his form I think he'll come good, especially as he's still pretty young.

Haynes has talent - it's all about poor attitude with him (toxic talent??)
One day he will grow up and realise the world does not revolve around him - when that happens he will be a decent player - the question is when??
