I think you may find that when he refers to anything in the final third it is more than just the CF that is responsible for a lack of cutting edge. I am sure that when I read the TIKI TAKI article, BR's philosophy is not one role one player but he considers the conventional midfield and CF roles to overlap, 11 outfield players not 10 and a keeper. You defend and attack as a team moving back and forth through the zones together. I am sure we all read that handbook on a previous thread. with that in mind Sinclair and Dyer and Gylfi ( if we are lucky) are all responsible for creating and finishing. As DG scored almost 1/3rd of the goals this season and has a 1 n 3 strike rate I am sure BR would consider his contribution was exactly what he expected and is more than happy. That is not to say that we don't need a stronger squad hence the 5-6 players that need to come in to compete for starting positions and push those currently starting to be better.
Hopefully opposing managers will be deterred from making bids for Graham from reading Dai's posts about him ... bless him !!

get into the real world danny is not that good as a lone striker he is way way below the standard we need to stay up next season. Im sorry but i agree with BRENDAN on this and we need to start next season with better finishers ...sorry end of story accept it that both Brendan and myself are spot on..

danny is a good player and would do well with another club, but we need much better for next season, i can see exactly where brendan is coming from.... I need 5-6 players to strengthen the team our finishing needs to get a lot better. we are after burnley captain who is a attacking midfielder so i hear so thats a start, we need another keeper, two defenders and a good striker who can score and finish better than danny can, you cannot expect us to be so lucky next season now everyone knows our style and there is no way we would get away with not scoring a goal in nearly half of our matches. it stands to reason we need better players.....
