Im chuffed for the lad and nice to have another young International in the squad. This will put him in the public eye even more so thank feck weve tied him to a long-term contract
Both are top prospects mate, we desperately need to bring some cover in for them in Jan, because Cirkin in particular is looking fatigued lately. Hes gone from Spurs U23s to playing every single game as our only fit LB with international games aswell, the lads barely had time to rest.
With Hume signing the new deal I highly doubt we’ll bring in another LB. Shame about his latest injury… Agree about your point regarding Cirkin’s fatigue.
Humes out till about Feb i think and with his injury record ill be worried if he's our only option. Huggins can play there aswell i suppose but we need him for the RB slot because like Cirkin, Winchester needs to play every game aswell. I really thought our squad would be strong enough after the window aswell before our usual injury jinx struck.
Yeah we do need to pad the squad out further, fatigue levels will only get worse the longer the season goes on and we've got crap luck with injuries. Several of them need a break but we haven't got the numbers. Speakman will have some quality deals lined up no doubt.
Agreed. It’s just a massive shame about our injuries, it would’ve been great to have the squad to rotate the likes of Doyle, Cirkin, Huggins and to an extent Neil. The young lads have played far too much football in recent months.
I really hope he has. All of our injuries seem to happen in the same areas, like last season we had no Centre backs and now Cirkin is our only real fit Fullback. Winchesters doing a great job but ideally he'd be fighting Neil, Onien and Evans for a midfield slot, which would allow one of them 3 to get a rest when needed aswell as himself. The sooner we are out of the Pizza Cup the better.
cracking news and a great opportunity for the lad to shine on the world stage, unfortunately the vultures will hover to steal him away for peanuts, as he signed a 4 year deal i hope if this happens we shaft the vultures
The good thing is mate, we don't have to sell and he's a local lad who will probably be content climbing the leagues with us. Congratulations to Dan and Dennis. Richly deserved!
Well done to both of them. A good boost when they need it. Let's hope there's not too much of the old; " You get what at Sunderland? Bloody hell mate were on miles more and I've bever played a first team game yet"
