From SSN. According to the player himself, Spurs have "lodged a bid" with Internacional for him. He doesn't seem to know, or isn't telling how much, or even if it's been accepted. Be interesting to find out if it's true. But coming from the horse's mouth, as it were, I suppose there must be something in it.
If it were accepted now, that's one item crossed off the summer shopping list - as long as he doesn't want to stick around for a Copa Libertadores campaign like Sandro did.
If it's true that we have made a bid, that might be the thinking behind it. Get the deal done early before they get to the latter stages of the Copa Libertadores. Not sure how true it is, though.

Guess or know? Surely if SSN were quoting the player they would have made more of "I know nothing about the interest in me shown by Spurs".
I'm reading this from the SSN website where the player himself is clearly quoted as saying that he knows nothing of any interest from PSG but says "all I know is Spurs had made an offer"

He's rated highly in his home country, Dona. Obviously he's an unknown quantity in terms of Eurpean football. However, the Brazilians do seem to know a bit about football, and how to recognise a good player!
Well, we seem to be takers for starters! I suspect that Internacional are probably being just a bit greedy, and asking too much for a player who's unproven outside of his own country. Like I said, he is highly rated in Brazil.

He's a class act, which is why so many top clubs are in for him.
