Not to long ago I posted an article saying that with spiderman and stephens in midfield next season we would have a strong midfield. I still think that spiderman is a class act so I think what I said about him at the time was right. However the more I think about our midfield now, the more I think that we need a goalscoring cm to partner spiderman. At the time of my previous article based on the brief performances of stephens we had seen up until that point and his goal scoring record for oldham, I thought that he would be a good player next season, but now (with no disrespect to stephens because he has a bright future) I think that we should be doing a lot better than him. In my opinion signing someone of a higher calibre will be more of a catalyst for a good season giving the other players more confidence of success.
    Thoughts appreciated

I'd love us to sign Jordan Mutch from Birmingham, he's out of contract but would of have thought they'll agree a new deal with him after their relegation. Looked like a great player while on loan at Watford.

I know Danns has been mentioned a lot and Jack Cork more recently I'd be more than happy with either one.

Another player who impressed me was Buckley at Watford, Brighton have apparently had a couple of bids turned down. Good creative winger who is equally as good cutting inside or hugging the touch line.

I mentioned Mutch on the other Prem players list... very good player. I forgot about Buckley too; again looked good, but I only saw him once, when they kicked QPR's butts at Loftus Road.
I rate Jack Cork too, but is he not more of the same?
