It's the emergency loan window, that means loan only from English clubs, doesn't it?

Yep, English league setup clubs only (ie include Swansea, Cardiff, etc).

Isn't he the right footed kid from Tranmere that made Cairney look like he was ambidextrous, or whatever the equivalent term for feet is?

Yeah but to be fair, he was only 15-17 in his time at Tranmere.

Not that he's even 20 yet.

To be fair I think at the time I might have even compared him to Beckham, because I was questioning why in the video when he was running down the left wing the defenders had just stood there and let him turn inside instead of keeping him on his left foot. A lot of the smaller clubs in Europe used to do it to Beckham when he was still at Man U, only they pushed him inside every time so that he couldn't cross and had to pass it square or back to Neville. (as a result Beckham went and worked on being able to pick a shorter pass with his left foot so he was still a threat to the opposition when they did it)

Ok fess up time. One half of my family hail from the Wirral, so I've a soft spot for Tranmere Rovers. I also remember the thread he was previously discussed in, because I started it saying we should sign him up. Obviously this was pre talk of the likes of Bayern being in for him.

I think talk of him being one footed is a bit harsh, as shown in the following vid...

First goal, left foot pinged into the top corner. Second goal, right foot pinged into the top corner. Third goal, coolly slotted home with his left foot (assist Ian Goodison). Forth goal coolly slotted home with right foot.

To be fair, he does seem to predominantly dribble with his right foot, but like you say maybe that's just because he's allowed to.

To be fair, the vid we had on that thread I pointed out the one footed thing because there were four or five clips put together from one game and he didn't use his left foot once in them, even to control a cross field pass that would have been about knee height and in his stride if he'd let it come across him. Instead he twisted himself about and made it a really difficult ball to control and unsettled his stride to use the outside of his right foot. There was no sign what so ever of him having a left foot.

Aye you're right there. I thought the same. But the strikes with his left foot in the above vid were well controlled, not just swing your leg and hope. He still has a lot to prove but he's an interesting prospect.

And to continue the theme on this tread, may I add, to be fair.

He would be an interesting loan signing, not many of our younger players try and start their careers abroad although I remember Forrester and Sharp ? going to Auxerre. Had a bad injury and is looking to prove himself.
