Only 15 minutes, but how good was that? Cool on the ball, quick feet and a spacial awareness of those around him that marks him apart from the crowd. For an 18 year old he must be up there with best at that age and that includes Ole's comparison with Januzaj. If that lad is a marker for Ole's judgement, we'll be OK. Hope Wenger wasn't watching becuase this boy's got the look of another Ramsey in the making - maybe even better at that age. If we got him for a couple of mill with no sell on clauses, he could be the bargain of the century.
I said elsewhere Sparkey, even if he's regarded as one for the future, if the papers are to be believed, we got all 3 Norwegians for less than Cornelius and I bet th 3 of the in total earn less than the reported £45k he's on. Again as said elsewhere, I just hope it gives us enough to stay up this season. It'll give Ole another transfer window and a pre-season to fully embed his approach. He just needs to get us to 17th this season. Hopefully we're seeing enough to suggest he can, and with Jones signing, we'll have a plan be, be that Jones off the bench or FC.
Seriously Spark are you being serious with the comparison on this thread and the time factor or am I taking this too seriously. Yours seriously Bob. Serious answer only.
Arthur was as good as the other was bad. At last we seem to have a player, Noone aside, who can actually go past his man. Certainly a great prospect. It will be interesting to see if he is chosen for Tuesday's game.
Didnt watch the game but all I've heard is how quality he looked. I'm looking forward to seeing him in action.
He should start against Utd imo but I think he'll be on the bench. His vision and quality on the ball were very exciting. The quick feet to beat a man could make him a world beater. All topped off with a confidence and willingness to get on the ball you wouldn't expect from many 18 year olds on debut. Showed the difference between Mason and PL class sadly too. We have a lot of players who are not good enough, Joe is one of them, if there's 1.5m on the table for a player who's hardly figured for 2 seasons we should slap their hand off.
There's a link knocking about on twitter to a 2minute highlights video of his 10 minutes on the pitch! Think it may link to one of the other forums.
As much as I have supported Mason since he joined us, I agree with your comment Stevoldinho. I do think he could benefit from a loan move rather than permenant, but 1.5m is a lot of money to refuse.
Sorry that's blocked try http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HVQmaFiT24&feature=youtu.be and that's a different vid....... Give me a minute I'll try and find the right one
