Whatever the deal is - it must come with an 'add on' clause. This would provide cash for the future - and allow NO reason why the initial transfer funds shouldn't be used to strengthen the team for next season - otherwise we might be getting out of L1 in the wrong direction ! I had been told that Dack doesn't really want to move too far from the south east ( for now ) - so a move to a team like Palace is the right sort of move - now he needs to get into the England set-up and do a Matt Jarvis ( along with the additional money for us ) ( you just know that Scally has all the details sorted ).
Absolutely, I think it is inevitable Dack will go in the summer if we fail (which looks likely) to gain promotion. To be honest I'd rather him be going to Palace than Bristol City and will wish him well if he does go.
This is hardly a surprise and good luck to him. He will have to show a big improvement in performances to stand any chance of being anything other than a squad member but his 2015 standards were high enough to prove he can do it.
I agree with the comments above, including bristol's that he will need to improve, at least on recent performances since his return from injury. But if we get £2.5m for him it certainly vindicates the decision to hold on to him in January. Wherever he ends up he will have my respect for the manner in which he has conducted his business with the club.
Never been the most reliable of sites that one. Considering his recent League One player of the year award, I doubt very much that the club would let him leave for anything less than the £3m mark.
"Crystal Palace fans would like to see Gillingham midfielder Bradley Dack arrive at Selhurst Park this summer. Dack has scored 15 goals in 42 games for the Kent club so far this season. Bristol City are thought to have had a £1.5m bid rejected earlier this season, with Gillingham valuing the 22-year-old at £2.5m. On Monday, we asked whether Dack would be a good addition at Palace - and 72 per cent of Eagles fans believe he would. "With news circulating of Palace’s apparent interest in Gillingham’s Bradley Dack, we have scoured the internet (checked YouTube) for a taste of what the 22-year-old would bring to the Palace side if we do in fact sign him this summer, and we like what we’ve found. This video montage shows Dack to be tenacious in and out of possession, capable of scoring from range and happy to dictate the pace of play at all times. He’s got real potential. You could suggest that anyone who is given the honour of winning the Player Of The Year award in their respective division has a fair bit about their game, but in Dack, Gillingham have a player who appears at his most comfortable when thrown straight into the thick of the action. Reminiscent in looks to Burnley’s George Boyd thanks to his shoulder-length brown locks, Bradley is shows via the video above to be a surprisingly combative influence in the Gills midfield, more than happy to get his hands dirty whilst still maintaining an air of quality when afforded time with the ball at his feet. Clearly happy to shoot when faced with a goalscoring opportunity from distance, Dack is also proven to be commendable unselfish when a better placed teammate makes themselves available for a pass inside the penalty area. In a number of ways, he’s exactly the sort of rough diamond that Palace have long prided ourselves on polishing. Perfectly happy to take over set-piece duties from both free-kicks and penalties, his delivery into the penalty area from 30-35 yards is shown to be remarkably accurate, leading anyone who understands the game to realise why he has just been bestowed with the honour of League One’s Player Of The Year. He may not be a big name signing in the same style as Yohan Cabaye, but I certainly wouldn’t be complaining if we got a deal tied up for him over the next few weeks. At just 22, there appears to be plenty of scope for further improvement in his game within the next few years. Well looks like we can still make the play offs(JUST) if we beat Millwall. With Barnsley away to Champs Wigan and Scunthorpe away to Sheff Utd. So if we win and they lose we will b there. Remember Leicester 5000 to one to win the league. Its a funny old game.
