    From The Sun:

"Peter Odemwingie's plan to get signed by Marseille has failed - cementing his legacy as deadline day's unluckiest man.

The Stoke winger tried to force through a move to the Ligue 1 side after ducking training this morning and hopping on a plane.

But that interest went nowhere and he is now believed to be heading back over the Channel with his tail between his legs.

And it wouldn't be the first time. It was this transfer window three years ago when he infamously tried to force through a move to QPR. The then-West Brom star jumped in his motor and drove to Loftus Road in a bid to get the R's to snap him up."

Every time I think of this lad's on/off transfer to QPR, it reminds me of the terrible job Philip Beard did at this club.

I think Phil Beard was brought in to develop the new stadium. Think of all of his contacts after developing The O2. His departure, therefore, is very ominous as far as that project is concerned. Some on here were saying that anyway, even before Beard departed.

He reminded me a bit of that incredibly thick Brummie bloke off The Apprentice who kept banging on about when he worked for Tesco. No idea why really.

If ever there was a player meant for us, it was good old Pete.
We have so much in common, he does the same stupid thing, over and over, so why can't we find a place for him.
He could sit with Mackie in the pop-corn stall and make some extra coin just for starters.
Yes, Odemwingie was one we let slip ................ dam you Harry.
