first team coach poached by Pulis at Middlesbrough. Who knows, perhaps he was holding Ollie back.....
Just had an alert from the QPR app about this. Interesting to see if he is replaced and if so who by. He is ex-boro and his family home is 20 minutes from their training ground, as opposed to 253 miles. (yes, I did google it)
Perhaps. But, given that it's effectively a promotion, it will probably give us more problems. Still, Ian's QPR through and through, so everything will be ok.
Couldn't he have waited until the end of the season? That's now a rhetorical question because I've just looked up when he joined us which was 15th December 2016 from Hartlepool. Not a very loyal chap then.
To move from Hartlepool - a club that is in danger of going bust ( or then relegation) to QPR in championship would have been a good career move. To move nearer to where his family is from a club with financial restrictions is also a good move. (I work away from home and have been trying to move back home for 2 years (however I am fussy with the job I go for!!) Tony Pulis has far more pedigree than our own Ian Holloway (no disrespect intended) - Maybe a new coach coming in will bring something else to QPR. Fingers crossed
Probably more money, promotion, a bigger club and not five hours from his family. I’d have done the same.
I have the impression Fleming improved our defensive organisation. So agree - crossing everything for a good replacement.
Could this be Flemings replacement? Exclusive: Shaun Derry not ruling out QPR return as he eyes new opportunities following Cambridge United departure - Get West London https://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/spo...ews/exclusive-shaun-derry-not-ruling-14323852
Middlesbrough haven't kept a clean sheet in the four games since defensive coach Fleming has returned there. We've kept two in four since his departure.
