Villa v city. What we saying lads? Anyone care? Tbh i didnt even realise it was today til i looked on the bbc just now. Reckon this will be a cricket score. 7-0 city
should have gone for your normal 7-1 as it might actually be right for once PS doubt many but City & Villa fans will be that bothered tbh and even then half of the Villa fans are probably more concerned with yesterdays results .
Seems less and less important every year tbh, with the cl sides mainly using it to play youngsters or "weakend sides" Even many of the lesser sides like villa field weakend sides, just seems doomed as a comp tbh
FA cup is no different and the weakened team scenario isn't just the PL teams but you will see it in teams aiming for promotion / aiming to avoid relegation from all divisions .
True, although i dont see the fa cup in danger as such, certainly less than the league Cup anyways. I dont think the league cup will will survive 10 more years tbh. The fa cup needs a revamp of some kind, not sure what or how you could make it more attractive to the "bigger sides", a cl spot for the winners is the only thing i can think of but i dont agree with that tbh.
I'll be watching. **** Pep and City - up the Villa. Expecting it to be as one sided as last years FA Cup final though.
No need for that, just don't allow teams in Europe to enter. Either that or reduce to an 18 team league.
Yeh its gonna be a cricket score no doubt, i ****ing hate villa and brummies, but im one today for sure
For you lot maybe. Football exists outside the top few clubs though. Though you lot have won it more than anyone haven't you? I've said it loads of times, ban clubs in Europe from competing as the bulk of it is done during EL/CL group stage time period. Only semis and final are after Christmas I think. This would also have the added bonus of automatically making every other club take it more seriously. As much as I love it I do get why some don't wanna play through 4/5 rounds to get spanked by City.
Maybe just make it a stand alone cup for all clubs outside the PL. We've seen in the last decade that very few PL managers take it seriously.
If the top 6/7 weren't in it they might more though? Would see it as a serious opportunity of a potential trophy then. As a fan of a smaller club who very rarely qualifies for Europe having league games only from August to January sounds dull as **** tbh.
I'm hoping Villa play their strongest team, get absolutely hammered and have their confidence destroyed for the rest of the season.
And one of the ones who have have got their fans a day out at Wembley... Okay it might not go very well but still
It'll be all or nothing and the fact most PL clubs don't go full strength suggests the cup will be dead within 5 years. I get what you're saying but the owners and managers think differently and they have a voice, we don't.
