on the flip side..if Muamba pulls through i can see them relishing coming to WHL as it will be a ground they hold dear to thier hearts after the way the Spurs fans behaved impeccably during the incident...i know i would feel as though i owe the Spurs fans something or any other set of fans if they showed me such support.

I was thinking of the Everton v Sunderland Replay to be honest, and your fixture, but thanks for the answer.

Have to agree, I can see Chelsea beating us at the Bridge in the league game (when do we ever get anything there, even last year we did enough to win and still managed to lose thanks to the weak assistant referees).

With our current run of bad luck the doom monger in me is tragically thinking 5th in the league and no cup final, we are still playing quite well (offensively, but defensively poor at times) and we are certainly due a change of fortune.

  9. If we don't finish 3rd, Harry has to go.

i agree....sorry but if you manage to blow a 10 point lead then something is not right mentally or tactically..because ability wise we managed to get a 10 point lead in first place with the same ability...and we have given the likes of Arsenal and Everton better matches than we managed to last few weeks....and we never turn up against united..once again its a mental thing..when at the same time relegation threatened Blackburn can beat them at Old Trafford

  11. What worries me, dona (and call me a cynic if you will), is that Harry will use the Muamba incident to excuse himself for failing to finish in the top 4.

At one point, we were 13 points clear of AFC, now it is highly likely that they will finish above us, despite the fact that we have the easier run-in.

I'm a fan, not a manager or someone taking thousands for working for THFC. I'm not interested in your excuses.

spot on and i can wager that this Muamba incident will be used as an excuse if things continue to go pear shaped..we know Harry...we know him well..bottom line is it is him and his England bandwagon that has distracted the players...to be honest that is something i dont understand either..unless they are all there because of Harry and not because they are handsomly paid pros playing football in front of a passionate fanbase, they need to focus on their job....or does this mean HR is not beinf professional in his day to day running of our club since the England saga began.

like you said we are fans...fans of THFC...me and you will still be here..pumping money into the club whilst all the players have long gone in chase of money and or fame and trophies.

I would suggest the pair of you seriously question your allegiance to Spurs and our manager, if you are comfortable with coming out with the cheap load of balls that you both have done in your latest posts.

To even think that Harry Redknapp would use the Muambo incident as an 'excuse' for us possibly finishing outside the top 3, is frankly absurd and is also bloody dismissive of the work he has done for our club since he took over.

No wonder he sometimes calls some of our fans "idiots".

Shame on the pair of you.

Fans turned on 'Arry last season too. I might disagree with him at times I but I respect the guy and certainly respect his judgement in footballing matters. It's far too reactionary to question his management after a few bad results from some very tough games and the insinuation that he would use the Muamba situation as an excuse is not only baseless but shows a complete lack of respect to who he is as a person.

Redknapp's done an excellent job for us so far, but I can see why some people are questioning both his recent judgement on the field and his commitment to the job.
I'd like to think that he'd not sink so low as to use an incident like this as a reason for any poor form, though.

His reference to fans offering their opinions of his work as idiots is bloody disrespectful, too.
If he doesn't like being criticised, then don't take such a high profile and well paid job and definitely don't even think about the England vacancy.

He's getting better and it was an awful thing to happen but Bolton surely have to play the rearranged game.

Life/death is OBVIOUSLY more important than football but he hasn't died and thankly is unlikely to now so there is no reason for Bolton to not want to play the rearranged game, if anything I thought it would spur their players on to win the game for him.

I am genuinely sorry you are offended by my response to your posts, but I will say, I didn't read your comments about Harry possibly using the Muamba incident as an excuse, as negativity, more a case of a slur on our managers' humane side, hence my reaction.

Without going into personal details, I have reasons why I have no doubt whatsoever that Harry is one of the most kindest and caring guys you could ever wish to meet. So, to read someone suggest that he might "exploit" someone else's misfortune to use as a possible excuse for his team's failings, is in my view, a no-go area.

Now that's you explained your reasoning and me explained mine. No fall-out, just agreeing to disagree.

I'll not join you in the Bill Nick for a 'soda pop' as I can't bear the stuff, but I'll be more than happy to join you there for a nice glass of Rioja !!
