I think we could now afford to go on a little cup run and still focus on the league,as i think with all the new faces we have,we have a big enough squad to allow us both cup and league. It will give us a chance to also break the new players in with our style of football.Am i being realistic? I think so.

Spot on, Thai. It's a great way to give fringe players games but I guess the make up of the team will be decided by our position in the League and where we are in the Cup. Be interesting to see which way Buck jumps if we are 15th or worse in the League and in the 6th round or semi final of the Cup........ :undecided:

yes we should go for everything that is put in front of us, we are a professional football club and must act like one that think they are good enough to field a team capable of winning, we are a squad and not just a team and every player has his part to play......

Cups are for the Football League clubs & the top Premier League clubs . The rest of the Premier League teams are only about surviving the drop & that's the group we currently belong IMO . I'm not saying " Forfeit " Cup games ,but use them more for discovering players strengths & experimenting , while giving players who need a bit of rest , a bit of rest.

I think you could well be right thaitaffy, I'm all for it, and Rodgers seems to be able to make 5 or 6 player changes in the Prem, with good results, using the Villa game as an example, so why not!..............

Given that we have only just started winning away from home I think we should go quite strong for the Bolton game as it is a very winnable away game and its always good to keep momentum going so I think we should just go for both!!

Personally I would give everyone who hasn't been playing regularly a game.

With the additions to the squad, the fringe players & our kids. The cup is something we could certainly cope with. A winning habit is a good habit & this could keep us focussed as a club to our Premier league survival. Valuable game time for some individuals will come with it & as been mentioned by others, keeps everyone on their toes & for me, bouyant....

I am all for giving the rest of our squad a chance to play in the cup.thus giving BR the opportunity of seeing them play and keeping their fitness,
