Just heard that this fourth_official twitter page has said Carlos Cuellar has agreed terms with us and is now just waiting for his loyalty bonus from Villa as he did not request the move.

Supposedly this guy hasn't got a transfer deal wrong yet.

Fingers crossed, we get confirmation today.

I'll believe it when I see it.

TBH, I'm a bit pissed off that we are trying to re-sign Miller. A 32 yo with no sell on.

We should be trying to get Goodwilliam, his court case is heard tomorrow and a lot of people think he'll have no case to answer.

He'll cost more up front but cost less on wages, and have a potentiol sale value at the end of the day.

If we get Miller for the same price or lower than we sold him then I would take him back.

He will score goals, that's for sure.

I've heard the opposite about Goodwillie, assault charges on top of a possible rape charge, could be a stint in jail.

If he avoids chokey then I would agree, pay the money and get him in. But you can understand why clubs are holding back before making a bid.

NOt that i want you to get him but i agree on Goodwillie

This is what Celtic and Rangers should be doing. Not only will they do a job now but they'll improve and probably end up in England for a few years bring in a fee and allow us to start over again.

We missed out on McCarthy and Fletcher when we could have had them for peanuts. Fletcher ended up moving to wolves for what £7/8m and McCarthy is touted as £10m on his head now meaning we cant afford them.

Its not ideal but its the reality of the world Celtic and Rangers now live.

Sometimes it might not work out and they might not progress - but we have to take a chance on lads with potential

Exactly. A stepping stone SPL > Old Firm > EPL.

Most dutch teams having been running this way for a while and as long as the £ keeps coming in then the system can continue.

Goodwillie though is a different case altogether though, simply because he gives off the impression of a ned who's good at football. If he is looking for the money now and wants to get out of the Scottish media spotlight Cardiff will be his answer, if he wants trophies and is prepared to knuckle down and get his act together, Rangers is the place to be.

We'll need to wait and see regarding Goodwillie's court case(s)

But with Miller, I'm far from convinced this will work out for us.

He had an amazing 1st half of the season in Scotland, but in Europe, he was ****e at finishing, chances against Valencia and Man U at Ibrox spring to mind.

Plus, he has never been prolific in his career, bar 4 months last season, to me, it seem slike a gamble and tells me that McCoist is going to play Smiths system.

I'll be very surprised if Cuellar joins us as the drop in wages would be just too large. I also think Miller will go elsewhere. Again, there's the huge drop in salary coupled with the fact that he said he was bored with football in Scotland due to playing the same teams so often.

On FF just now that Miller is going to Cardiff City, could be a load of ****e.

There's only one way to know for sure. Does the OP say 'FACT'?

    Never heard Miller say that.

Cuellar would be dropping from about £40k to £25k but think of the bonuses that come in top of CL football and winning trophies.

I'd be more worried if Rangesr where to sign BadCock rather than Miller ...

Miller won't score anywhere near as many goals this season back in the SPL - I'd go for no more than 15 (at a stretch) .

We'll see I suppose... I just think Badcock represnts better value for money than Miller who Rangers wont be able to punt but if Badcock score for fun with Jelavic for a season or two,Rangers could easily punt him for double the fee or more!
