The Crusaders game is going to be a tough one. Need to come away from the game with at least one away goal. Sounds like the pitch could be a problem, reported that even Crusaders players haven't got use to the pitch. Lets hope our players are in the right frame of mind to play on it. Still remember Spurs game against Young Boys of Bern, they played like they were walking on egg shells the first half.
I can understand your caution, SuperBrian. Maybe it's just my relentless optimism, but I'm not worried. I think the 0-0 against Runavik, and particularly Jol's reaction to it, will have focused the players on the need to deliver. Fitness levels will be slowly improving and whatever the pitch is like, this is still a game against part-timers. We have to take it - and them - seriously, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a game we should win 99 times out of 100. I'm expecting a professional display and a response to the disappointment of Runavik away and AFC Wimbledon. If you're right that the pitch is an unfamiliar problem for the Crusaders players as well as ours, it should give them less of an advantage.
For those going to Belfast the club have put up notice of transport to and from the ground. http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/News/NewsArticles/2011/July/CrusadersTravelNotice.aspx
I think (and hope) the Captain is right on this one. Still, upsets can happen and an away goal is certainly the key. Having watched the news last night (and not knowing the layout of Belfast at all) I'm hoping our players and fans will be in and out as quickly as possible.
I read on cottage corner that apparently the area of Ireland that we are playing in is minimal in terms of trouble/problems at the moment
