We are currently in 16th place in the crowd average league. Where do you think we will be next year (assuming we survive)? I reckon with a reasonable start we will be just below 20k http://www.worldfootball.net/attendance/eng-championship-2015-2016/1/
Depends on the qaulity of signings, bring in the quality required and that would increase sts big time. Quality arrives for a tilt, bigger away following,we could see crowds of 20000 to 22000 in the ground.
It really depends on which end of the table we spend the season in. If its the top, 17-18 thousand, and if its the bottom then 15-16. Mid table means 16 I reckon 22 is over optimistic tbh
VERY OPTIMISTIC methinks ..unless it is one of 3 or 4 top teams .. last time round I think we were on about 16,500 as an average? Do not see anything has changed ... .. agree with BRR though top 6 and we might attract an average over 17,000
Having said that we should be able to accept much bigger away support. Currently we take between 750-1500. This could surely double. I reckon possible play off contention should break the 20K threshold
I reckon 17,000-18,000 average next season. Visits from the likes of Villa and potentially Newcastle should see gates of 22,000 or more I'd have thought.
oAgree with most on here, City probably have a nucleas of between 15-16,500 when in the Championship, getting that to nearer 18,000 will depend on good signings and a good start. Can only see the 3 dropping from the Prem and Cardiff bringing big crowds with them to get us to 22K+
It will be interesting how they market the new stadium i.e. encourage new punters and at what price. I have tried to find out how the Football Club is financed but cannot get any information. What I am asking is where does the gate money go and how does it flow through to the Football Club? The Bristol Sports set up is so unusual is this Country so much so I remain confused/sceptical about how the financial model works. Once assumes that BCFC has no interest in the stadium so does it have a lease? Lots of unanswered questions but there again some of us perhaps are happy with the current benefactor situation but what happens next?
It appears that Middlesboro, Fulham, Reading, Birmingham, Ipswich , QPR , also took max tickets offered so more to come there. And I reckon Leeds and Brighton could exceed 5000 and then there's Sheff W, Derby and Notts F, Wolves. So I reckon the current away support will double on average to circa 2000.
If you ask me then the Atyeo should be away only and the top tier of the west stand opened.its better to have seats open in the middle as opposed to in the corner
