How long did those lads that broke a police womans nose and punched three other cops at Manchester airport get sentenced to? Two tier Keir.
Just find it interesting that someone who sets fire to a bin can get fast tracked through the courts but assault a police woman and you can go home and forget it.
How long did the airport lads get then, 2 years? It's a couple of weeks ago now so surely they have been to court.
I think the difference is their plea is my guess. Keir although he states the system is processing these in extra quick time, I reckon it's only those pleading guilty. If you look at the recent figures there is well over 700 arrested, but less than 200 processed, and around 300 charged, so Keir is painting a bit of a false narrative more to keep a lid on the riots and to scare people, and it seems to be working. I don't see how they can process someone quickly that pleads not guilty.
As for the total of over 700 arrested, if they put them all away, they are going to run out of prison spaces, not forgetting they were on the verge of full before all this.
Cases take different lengths of time to get to trial for various reasons. This is obviously a more complex case than some not right throwing an umbrella at a copper after a day on the Stellas and pleading guilty. I’ve known you on here long enough to know you aren’t this thick.
Just pisses me off. As you say, getting pissed on saturday night and throwing an umbrella at a copper will see you in court on Monday morning yet, puncing a female cop in the face and breaking her nose (with lots of cctv, mobile phone and police body cam footage to prove it) you can go home and wait until someone decides there is no charges to bring.
Again though that isn’t happening. If the charges are dropped then feel free to burn down Oldham police station in protest as plenty will be joining you.
If you were Elon Musk would you really be arsed enough to troll Starmer on Twitter? He could spend all day every day on the world’s biggest yacht being sucked off by Miss Colombia and Miss Nicaragua simultaneously and this is how he spends his time.
Though it looks as though they did wrong, I think there is more to this than we've even seen. By that I mean why did those coppers go to that family in the first place, before it kicked off - so i'm wondering if something happened even earlier than what we've even seen so far, also what happened on the plane. Probably a whole sequence of events that need putting together before they can go in with charges. One question in the back of my mind from all this, did the police not deal with whatever we've not seen, properly, was there any racism in their thought process that meant they were racist in their assumptions and actually didn't deal with the family fairly and correctly, was there another person or family involved, that led to the police being called, and through their racism, dealt with the wrong family. It kicked off for a reason and I'm not convinced we've got the full story yet, hence why the police are not sure what charges to pursue yet. Also there may have been no racism at all...but we don't know and need to let them do their jobs, if they rush it, the cps or judge will end up throwing it out.
All very strange, but I get the impression he's a bit of a strange guy. He needs to stop dick waving, trying to class us as at civil war is about as fooking stupid as you can get, fooking clown.
