England now taken 3 wickets (42/3). Picked great week to have off...doors open, sun shining in, watching cricket. This is one of the things I selected to get me through the desert until kick off next season. Life is good!
It nearly happen again, I was just about to post the same thing..... joking haha Cricket is my summer sport.
Great thing about cricket is that as long as the weather holds you have hours of entertainment. Another wicket for Broad. Anderson having great day as well.
And of course there is always the fun of a man getting a ball in the wotsits...makes men laugh in sympathy and women just laugh
T20 matches are great fun to go to. Also, will be going to Surrey v Hampshire in the CB40. Went to Lords for the final day of the first test the other day. Got in for £10
Great way to waste a day (read: procrastinate), watching test cricket. Watched pretty much all of the first test, been watching today.
Go to a few Hants games and have tickets for the one dayer against WI at the Oval on 19th June. Bound to rain!
Cracking game on at the Rose Bowl right now (yes, I am still calling it). Add in the beatiful weather, and I know where I'm spending my Saturday. Bliss.
Luckily as a Saints fan of old, I'm used to teams I support doing their best to lose from a winning position.
Now this is a good thread. The sport I'm most interested in.. Well that was a huge unbroken partnership by Sammy and Samuels.. I never thought Sammy would be capable of over about a quick 40 against our bowling attack. Sets up the game well. Puts the Windies in a great position and worrying for Enlgnad if they can push over 400
Cricket is a brilliant game to listen to while sailing. My old sailing matey, who I haven't even spoken to in months, rang me he other day to ask if I'd join him in the Round The Island [IOW] Race this summer, and as I was wavering [just for show], he mentioned a few beers, the radio with the Cricket and Olympics on; a great weekend with sailing buddies, etc... Have to admit, my beloved VFR is going to be staying underneath her cover when that weekend arrives, because the old sailing bug has me well and truly bitten. With the measure of a Chain of mown grass and a bit of Hampshire v Surrey at the Bowl, on the radio, and a healthy dose of brandy mixed with sea air in the lungs, it won't get any better. We already reckon we'll come last, and I won't care a jot.
Sorry but i hate the game cant understand how to teams can spend all day and half the evening stood in the baking sun for five days very often only for it to end in stalemate i would sooner have a wisdom tooth extracted
Had a great day at Lords on Monday, and only a tenner to get in. England fans clapping politely throughout, West Indians leaping up shouting and laughing, especially when Pieterson gave his wicket away. This Windies side can play a bit, despite the absences of a few big names.
Couple of early wickets for England needed. Wicket will break up and we mustn't allow the Windies to gain too big an advantage after winning the toss.
I think the Windies will get bowled out for around 350. They won't last that long. If Chanderpaul was in, I'd be more concerned about Windies reaching over 400.
