I'm astonished that Scally has allowed Hessy to bring in even more players in the last couple of weeks. We must have one of the biggest squads in any division. Is he going for broke this season, promotion at all costs? What if Hessy doesn't deliver, will he get the boot at the end of the season. Thoughts?
I believe that Scally is more of a shrewd businessman than a lot of us give him credit for. For example the lad Carter has signed till the end of the season and probably for the minimum 1st year pro wage, and Kuffour is on loan till the end of the year, so if he does turn out to be reasonable then I'm sure both Oli and S Payne will be moved on elsewhere to allow for his possible signing. As far as Hessy is concerned, he has got a squad that should be top 6 minimum... And I for one still believe this is achievable, so yes if we don't get promotion this season then he should hold his hands up and admit he is not the man for the job.
hess and scally fair play to him have brought some decent players in to the club, much more than we all expected and think things will improve over the next five games i'm sure. for me whelpdale & lee are big disappointments so far, i think they know they hold the key that players and fans alike are waiting to see, they need to find those highier levels we know they have...soon! would be nice to see results & performances on a par, but no need for panic...hess and team will deliver the goods! UTG!!!
