Credit where credít is due
So well done to you lot in blue,
Back in September
I can remember
´Twas us near the front of the queue

But since then the tables have turned
And we both have got what we earned,
You, five wins in seven
Us praying to heaven
As point after point we just spurned

So imagine yesterday´s glee
When one goal at last led to three
Most welcoming points
To ease aching joints
And perhaps start a winning spree

4 - 1 sounded startlingly good
Was it, or were Leeds a poor brood,
Whatever, I dare
Hope the Anglian pair
Will keep revving under the hood

A Premier League local derby
Would be good for both our army,
And long overdue
In my humble view
So stay fit and well and hardy.

We´ll do what we can to keep pace
With those at the head of the race,
With months yet to go
No-one can yet know
Which three, will in May, earn a place.

I think it's fair to say
That most think it's poo

For noone's replied
And some even have tied
A noose round their neck

Bothers me not
Whether folk say a lot
That´s not why I write as I do,
Whether it´s here
Or just over there

It's important we manage our hopes
For years we've been stuck on the ropes

Are bettering keeping us afloat

But still there's a long way to fight

This season we've gone hell for leather
And Norwich have hit stormy weather
But I tend to feel we
Are similar really
And I'd love us to go up together

But if we took the championship crown
And next year it's Chelsea vs Town
There'd be more cheers than most
In my Devon outpost

Those thoughts echo mine very much FBI
As rivals, we don´t want to lose,
To each other any time but can we fly
Together, it´s what I would choose

And if it should happen any time soon
Well then I would hope we both stay,
But should one of us burst our PL balloon
Then let it be the blue one, I pray.
