I find it hard to fathom why anyone things creativity is an issue, right now confidence is an issue in defence and attack. Service needs to be more accurate too though.
Suarez needs to learn how to find a teammate 5 yards away without doing afancy flick that fails 8 out of 10 times. Adam needs to look at videos of his recent performances and positioning especially. ALso he cant tackle to save his life. Gerard in the middle makes us too predictable, teams know how to play us when it is set up like that. Still finishing has put us where we are. Reading some utter nonsense on the manc board by the usual fools, no fkn clue about footy whatsoever some of them

In the first half of the season I think we created as much as anyone in the league, our lack of goals have hindered the way we want to play as we now are focused on "Getting Goals" and are losing.. hmmmm Start out to keep a clean sheet and see what happens?

Downing needs to be more accurate with his crossing
Suarez needs to stick to what he's good at, beating the last man and getting a chance. I am not a fan of his link up play.
Carroll is not going to play half the games for me at his current stage of developement, He was good in the first half at newcastle but if thats the best he has to offer its not good enough. We'll see I guess
Dirk's done for me, great player for us but its time.
Carra, done last year for def
Gerrard has been hit and miss and injured, cant depend on him any more
Bellamy is at an end too

3 Strikers ineffective as they are, that is what is killing our season, the defence was carrying the team and now that they have their own issues the strikers are not helping out. Only for hte defence we'd be in relegation trouble

You can have all the creative players in the world but if your forwards dont make good runs and or cannot finish off the chances it makes no difference to the outcme, we've been creating, 12 good chances against two teams that beat us and those two teams didn't have 12 good chances between them against us

Think we have talked about this numerous times.

Over the summer it was Aquanan vs Merieles debate - who do we keep?

Shamefully, in a bit of very poor management and planning, we ended up with neither.

We've missed Merieles more I thought we would. We've got no cover for Gerrard.

Creativity is not an issue. We've created loads of chances, it's putting them away that's been the problem.

A striker and someone better to sit next to Lucas. Defence does not need anything.

Judging by our defensive record since Agger got injured I think we may need some extra cover!!!

I see what you mean, but I would prefer to see Coates get more chances. I'm afraid a move for defensive cover would be asking for someone with similar ability to Kyriagos who might e more willing to play 2nd/3rd fiddle.

7. I agree with your point but the vital statistic missing from that list is their ages, Nani and C.Ronaldo were both late teens when they joined Man Utd. Downing was 27!

Have to agree with that, also...Kuyt's is actually a good return for his first season and NONE of them cost anywhere near 20m.

9. Nani was £17m, that is pretty close. C.Ronaldo at £12.4m looks like a snip now doesn't it...<laugh>

Nani was 17m? <yikes>

Proved his worth though, think Downing could be past his best. Could have a better season next year but it wouldn't be his best.

11. €25.5 million in June 2007 <ok>

Definitely proved his worth as did C.Ronaldo. Not sure about Anderson at around £20m though...<whistle>

Indeed not, maybe someone told SAF that being Brazilian was worth £30m alone. <laugh>
