Just want to say how crap Carroll is plus how bad the City defence is without Kompany. Also they'd be buggered without Hart.

What a load of crap. It was like a giant crap sandwich, with a side salad of crap, sprinkled with some extra crap.
I think it serves to show exactly how well we have coped with the various injuries we have had this season. If you take 2 or 3 of City's first team players out then they suddenly don't look like half the team ( although they are still favourites for the title imo )
Having watched the LC game and compared to league matches, its a surprising lack of depth in the Citeh side when you take away Kompany, Silva, Yaya and Balotelli(when fit). They looked pedestrian and lacked ideas or penetration. Dzeko looked as bad as Carroll did when he came on for them.
The more worrying thing for City is that they don't seem to have any backup plan without Silva and Toure. If you took Rooney, Nani, Vidic and Valencia out of the Utd side we'd look pretty pedestrian too. Our performances when some of those players (and many others) were out earlier this season shows that. But we were still getting results and finding another way to win most games, even if it wasn't pretty. Against Liverpool, City showed almost no sign of any cutting edge and no idea how to address that. It's premature to claim they're having a crisis, but they're going to need to do better to find a way past the bus Wigan are likely to bring, and to handle Spurs next week, tho' Silva may be back by then.
They're a very good side that will be hard to beat, but this big invincible City steamrolling to the title we've all been told about dont exist and when you look at what the points gap they never were that far ahead. Especially considering our injuries. City vs Spurs in two games time should be a very interesting game of the back of two home defeats.
