Just seen his Carling Cup goal from last night against the Hammers. Does the lad warrant a start at Fulham on Saturday? Quite a few regulars playing for Fulham last night by the looks of it. Anyone think his pace could make the difference against the cottagers? Good to see Odem off the mark last night too.
On the 2nd half commentry it sounded like he was working hard defensively too. I think him and Mutch made a big case to be involved at some point on Saturday. Noone for Bellers would seem the obvious swap based on both performances in the last week. I think Odem playing 90 mins means he's almost certain to be on the bench, can't see his fitness letting him start 2 matches in 4 days.
It's good that we have the options available to us. Given the ammount of work the midfield do and the wingers especially, we need 4 available so we can make substitutions. Noone to start and Bellamy for 20 mins wouldn't be a bad thing. PO needed 90 minutes under his belt. Can see a few more sub appearences before he gets his first start. Looks to be a good aquisition though. Brayford appears to have been a waste of money though. I assume the shepherd's crook was for the performance rather than to give Kev a run out. The players we have at our disposal allows MM to make like for like changes or to change the shape if necessary.
IMO I doubt MM will make many changes for an away game. If anything Cowie may come in for Bellamy not PO. Maybe we will se some more attacking changes for the Newcastle game, surely one City have to strive to win by being more offensive minded.
