"The Nutter with the Putter" Thanks.

Once described by Sir Bobby Robson as "a man who could start a fight in an empty room"

"I've grown up with Kenny Dalglish; now to be signed by him is a massive honour. This is an exciting time. When Kenny took over, watching as a fan last season I got the buzz as well" - Craig Bellamy, September 2011

"If I ever wrote an autobiography – and I won't – it would be called Don't Google Me," he once joked.

On 6 May 2008 plans were announced for the building of the Craig Bellamy Foundation for disadvantaged children in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Bellamy has visited the war-torn West African country and has invested £1.2m of his own money since 2007 to help build a not-for-profit football academy in the Kono region and, along with Unicef, a national league in a country where the existing top-flight league has been suspended due to lack of funds.

"I wanted to wake up every day with my kids," said 33-year-old Bellamy, who has taken a significant cut in wages. "There's more to life than football."

    Thanks Bellamy YNWA.

Martin O Neill when then Norwich manager in the 90s of a then teenage Craig Bellamy said Bellamy wanted to pick the team. He's going to be missed for his overall tenacity.

    Good man.

Wild, but he's a red and put a shift in for us.

    All the best.

Hold my hands up and admit I didn't want him last season. Thought he was past it and would be a disruptive player. How wrong could I be. He's been a model pro and I think has matured with age. In the first half of the season he was probably our best player and showed in the Olympics he's still a threat.

Lot of players could learn from him. Wish him all the best and hope he can finally get Cardiff into the Prem - Maybe the obsessed Swansea fans will leave our board alone and bug the Cardiff board then <whistle>

Most fans hate his mouthiness. I loved it, will miss his presence on our football field. Shame it was for only 2 (separate) seasons.

Quite funny that he badgered Allen to join us over the last few weeks, then joins Cardiff the day Allen joins us. Bet the Swansea fans are delighted with him. <laugh>

what a difference a season makes, at first when the rumours came out about our interest in him, I laughed it off as bad journalism, thought he was past it. He has proven to be a great professional, no hard feelings that hes leaving. Im sure im not the only fan who has been impressed with him.

Agreed <applause> I regret not appreciating him more the first time round (as I know a lot of people do).

Ah, Bellers. I'm sad to see him go but if it's for his family then he can go with our blessing. Thanks for everything, he put in a fantastic season and showed his doubters wrong. I'd still much rather see him on the squad sheet than Downing but he's helped out the club in many ways.

I have a sneaking suspicion that he taught Suarez how to deal with the media pressure and bile coming from the journos, after all who better than Bellers to get through that?
