IF Ashley stays do you think it could be plausible that, if NUFC appoint a cheaper manager... Ashley may look to replace Penfold with someone: 1- Experienced 2- More competent 3- Better at communicating 4- who loos less like an 80's cartoon character Just a thought... but if we were to take Rafa's wages at £6m and add on Penfold's salary at £150k.... then we could easily pay £3-4m for a manager.... £1m for a proper chief exec... and have cash to spare for Ashley's back pocket and maybe another director. Or am I giving the rotund one too much credit as a business strategist?
He will either stay to work with another good manager. Or if its a crap manager he may get replaced with a really good chief exec. Mike won't allow a perfect storm to develop where everyone in their role is actually good at their job.
I’ve just had a shocking thought. Why replace penfold and get a new manager. Penfold could BE the new manager. Win win. Save 6million and invest in Greggs.
