I just saw someone talking about this, would be a great signing purely because of his goalscoring pedigree but as much as i'd like to see him in a gillz shirt i can't help thinking some league experienced player would be better. I'm sure there would be a massive asking price for him though surely?? Our squad has gone from relegation to promotion candidates in the matter of 4 days!!
Dont forget we had a bad start to last season - probabs after effecs of Makr Stimpson. We could esily have egone straight up. if it weren't for that.,
Fair point, I think we must have one of the best if not the best midfields and possibly defences in the league now as well i really am optimistic for this season!
really don't see it, but then again..if the last few days are anything to go by! zebroski just gone to bristol rovers, who i believe are the benchmark for league two!! also on a peterborough note cms has gone to brighton rather than the premiership..surprised by that! though peterborough have taken the lad from man utd, who was on loan at bury last season for £300,000. ajose is think. but the gills are what we are all hear to talk about!!! hessy is taking a full squad to ashford on tuesday..just hope ashford control those players, don't need injury's like last season's pre-season do we!!! I'd like to see him at Priestfield but Im not optimistic about it because of the fee that could be involved, think that after the whole fiasco of last summer with Hendon that we're not a friendly neighbour anymore so doubt there would be any help on that front. I think we may well see him at Priestfield next year, but perhaps not in a Gills shirt.
I feel that it is a positive sign that we are now being linked to many players. What happened to the budget cuts and were these just a smokescreen to enable us to secure some decent players. I agree with an earlier comment, when 4 days ago we were possibly relegation material and suddenly, we are now candidates for back to back promotions. Let us see what the first few games hold for us and then we can make a decision based on some actual games.
