Im not to over excited by the appointment of Steve Cotterill again I think the board at Bristol City have gone for the safe and cheap option and having read what the forest fans have been saying I have not changed my mind, still lets give him a chance and hope that I am proved wrong.

I have never felt so disillusioned following Bristol City FC, and I've seen some crap here in my time...

Ha Ha. Very good. I cannot believe I didn't spot that one. Yes, he isn't even the best Manager in our family :)

I'm sceptical, but naturally Cotterill will have my full backing. Personality-wise, he seems to be a World apart from SOD (which I'm sure will please many), so perhaps he will provide a metaphorical kick up the backside that was lacking before. From the outside, it seemed as though the players did really quite like SOD, though with that maybe came a certain amount of comfort and complacency.

One concern I have (and it may very well be entirely unfair), is that Cotterill, (ahem) doesn't come across as the brightest of fellows, though that's a face-value impression, and frankly, if he's knowledgeable about football than that's all he needs.

We are not talking Brian Cox here.
Football people are not required to have a PHD in mathematics.
Harry Redknapp is no nuclear physicist but he is an excellent coach of sportsmen, which is what we require.
To hell with his after-dinner talk skills, its his pre-match hell-raising that matters and can he throw a good tea-cup
