I've been saying I wanted Schwarzer from day one, including regularly on your board, is your memory playing you up.

He is the best of the bunch you mention. Followed by Schwarzer, who is a bit old.

He did momentarily jump on the Friedel bandwagon.

Because it will put off us, and many other clubs. Would you be rude about a potential client just because you think they are too small for you? Do you not think that would reflect badly?

I'd still take Friedel ahead of anyone, I just gave up on him as I don't think there's any chance of it happening.

    I know you have.

But I didn't quote that part, did I?

You're claiming Alan McGreggor is still a better player than Schmeichel and thats simply not true.

I just want to hear some real ****ing news!
Where's the helicopter spotters, the hotel stalkers and the airport sniffer-outers?
I want, nay demand to read posts from unknown best mates with someone high at the club. Even youngsters getting lifts with directors will do!l
All I am getting is recycled newspaper pap. Come on lads you can all try harder!

    I want Schwarzer.

Just sign the Aussie up and we can be done with all these keeper rumours.

    Put simply, yes it is.

Schmeichel is a very good Championship goalkeeper. He's failed once at Premiership level, though now with a bit more experience he might make the grade. Looks like we won't find out until next season when he leaves you on a free.

I think McGreggor is better, and my opinion is just as valid as yours.

You're opinion isn't as valid as mine when you say he failed at Premier League level.

What makes you think McGreggor is better?

    Seen them both play.

What success did Kasper have at Premiership level?

The fact a lot of Man City fans wanted him to stay instead of Hart.

What success has McGreggor had at Premier League level?

    So, none then.

5 years at Man City, 8 appearances, sold to a league 2 side. Hardly an unqualified success. 1 Denmark cap. I'm sure he has improved, but still has to be said he failed at premiership level 1st time around.

Allan McGregor is untried at our level. Neither good nor bad. Though of course he does have 29 Scotland caps (yes I know Scotland are ****e)..

I would have welcomed Schmeichel, and applaud him for wanting to make the step up from your level, but there is a limit to what you would pay for an untried player (McGregor) or once failed player (Schmeichel). At £1.8m I think McGregor is a better bet.

I appreciate that Kasper is your player currently, and therefore you have a loyalty and bias towards him. It's only right that you should feel that way, but for an objective view (I have no axe to grind with either and am therefore providing an unbiased view) I prefer McGregor.

True story here AKCJ - when Kaspar's dad was played in the first few seasons at Man Utd I know some fans who didn't rate him. Hart is obviously the better keeper out of him and Kaspar as who has a PL medal and is rated as £15 million plus by people who aren't just fans of the club. Hopefully we can find a future Hart as second choice keeper (unless Oxley - spelt it right, is him). Given the names being mentioned (the question still being apart from Kaspar, who else have we bid for) it is looking like Bruce is keeping his options open when it comes to who we sign.

I'm not saying Schmeichel is better than Hart now.

Just at the time Schmeichel was playing better and looked a fantastic prospect (which he still is)

    You're paying 1.8m for McGreggor?!?!

****ing hell, I thought he was on a free and I still thought it'd be a **** deal.

He's at the end of his contract and Fulham have signed (or are about to at least) Maarten Stekelenburg.
