I have to admit this is becoming a bit of an obsession with me now.

Basically I cannot believe how many corners we are winning without scoring from them.

Maybe it's just me but to my way of thinking this is major issue now particularly as we a very poor at scoring. SURELY it is easy to improve at corners; a few dummy runs, late run to the far post, chip to the near post for a nod on, grass-cutter the first man dummy jumps over to leave an unchallenged shot for the guy making a run behind....the options are endless.
It's a simple question of imaginative coaching and practice!!

So why are we so phucking shyte at it?

Here's the count in the 7 competitive games so far:

    Corners - 58

    Goals - zip

Here's maybe why we're not scoring from them..

1, We don't have a CB with the physical presence of Anthony Gerrard (not saying Hobbs and Chester are poor CBs but they don't have the Gerrard ability in the opposition box)

2, Our big man striker Adebola isn't on the pitch

Having a big man in the oppo box should help score more from corners. If you don't have one it is more difficult, but still you should be able to create scoring situations with a bit of imagination and practice.

Was it Burnleh who came to the KC last season and scored a superb dummy-run step over corner goal in front of the South Stand? I remember at the time being impressed with the practice that must of gone into creating that situation.

We don't have a fixed taker half the time to, at Leeds i think we had 7 different one's and its poor balls half the time, Hobbs is not as good as Gerrard attacking wise but he sure as hell ain't going to get on the end of them when they barely beat the first man.

We're talking direct. And no, I don't mean literally curling it in straight from the corner flag <laugh>

    Cross. Header. Goal.

Not cross, bounce around for ten seconds, goal. Well taken by McLean today but hardly a practised corner technique.
