I'm unable to watch the Chelsea/Man Utd game but I've been following it on the radio and by all accounts Mark Clattenburg has had an absolute shocker for the last 30 minutes. Four key incidents: -No booking for yet another 'stray' elbow from Van Persie. How many more times before he gets punished? -Ashley Young, once again, makes sure there is contact between himself and Ivanovic, Ivanovic is sent off -Second yellow and subsequent red for Torres for diving, even though replays show he was caught -Hernandez scores the winner having been offside Pet Nevin has just summed it up like this "The referee always has to make tough decisions, but I can't make an excuse for that referee. We would desperately have loved to bring you a last half hour of great entertainment. It was spoiled by one guy" Seriously, how is Clattenburg allowed to continue to referee at the highest level when he has proven time and again he isn't capable?
Incident 1 - Shearer an many others have been doing similar for years 2 - Wasnt Youngs fault IMO. Very unfortunate for Ivanovic but if that was v Norwich I'd want a red too. 3 - looks as though there was contact made however Torres should have already been sent off for his first yellow 4 - poor linesman. Was clearly offside.
Listening to 'The Press Pass' on talkSHITE right now and they seem to think Clattenburg will be reffing in the Champ next week.
Wouldn't swear in court VP meant it. Ivanovic didn't argue so I guess he knew it. You can't slide in head on a and win the ball. You slide in from the side. Evans didn't and caught Torres. Evans booked and free kick to Chelsea. If Evans already booked then off he goes. Commentators said "he's in trouble" so I guess he already had. Bad mistake by ref. Hernandez clearly offside. Another massive mistake by the officials. But to be quite honest I couldn't given a flying fcuk as that lot of ponces and posers at the top deserve each others slimy cheating tactics and they deserve an arrogant tosser like Clapperboard officiating. Even better when there's rough justice and the pundits can debate it long into the night. Sky had: SUPER SUNDAY Everton 2 Liverpool 2 Chelsea 2 Man Utd 3 OTHER FOOTBALL Newcastle 2 West Brom 1 Southampton 1 Spurs 2 Sums it all up really.
