Lots of players being offered short contract extensions to see out the season. Most seem to take them but I note that Fraser of Bournemouth has rejected an offer. I presume he hopes to go to a bigger club and quick. But I wonder what you guys think about this. My first thought is that as a buying club, I would wonder about his overall commitment to my club if he joined. I would have thought that he might go on a pay by the game system to keep playing and to be in the shop window? I see the worry about getting injured and not getting the next big move but there must be some sort of insurance that would cover that?
Its going to get messy. Not sure many will gain because of the virus but a lot will lose out, both players and clubs. Might find a few bargains come july. Transfer fees and salaries at our level will only go one way in my humble opinion. Might be tough for clubs that have to sell a player or two to balance the books.
Fraser, formerly known as Wee Man but now Money Grabbing Scumbag at Bournemouth, hoping to go to Tottenham or Arsenal. Everton rumoured to be sniffing around too. A dynamic player who causes defenders hell when on form and played in early.
