Well, putting aside the scrap to avoid relegation, I'm sure most neutrals wanted Wigan to win today. It is really a fantastic story when you think they are such underdogs against a team of superstars, Whelan's injury and all that. But perhaps the best thing is that Wigan are much maligned as a 'small club' filling up space in the Premier League and now they have won the major domestic trophy of this country. Guru said last season that he thought teams like Wigan were an embarrassment to the Premier League, but they have won more silverware recently then teams like Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa. Oh, and Ipswich.

    Well done Wigan!

Didn't they make the League Cup Final a few years ago too? Good times for them for sure and playing good attacking stuff.

Yep well done Wigan. Job done! Time to relax, put your feet up now and get yourselves in holiday mode.

Let's win tomorrow! Our future is in our hands after all.

Besides how ironic would it be if Villa did get relegated, Benteke's red card could prove very costly indeed!

Yes, but let's hope it's costly for Villa and not for us!

A little bit of good news, though. Even if Wigan beat Arsenal, not only one win, but two draws would be enough for us if I've worked out the maths correctly.

Would mean going to Man City and getting a draw, though.

(And no one tell CH, please. He'll already be playing for two 0-0s)

Thanks for the congratulations lads, and congratulations to you too on securing another season in the PL (as things stand you're three nil up, so I can't imagine that's going to change!)

Results generally have gone against us today, but after yesterday who gives a ****! We know what we have to do - win our last two games and we stay up.

In that case, I am very sorry. I know it was an Ipswich fan who said it, but if it wasn't you than I apologize for falsely implicating you.

I think I'm right in saying we're all Wigan fans for the rest of the season? I'd much rather see Villa or Sunderland go down.
