Just a quick message to all Liverpool fans.. Many congratulations for winning the Carling Cup.. King Kenny delivers again...It was a great game. They say the cream always rises to the top, but boy did we push you to the end. Alas it was not to be, but I think on the balance of things you guys deserve the trophy, I am proud of my team, I could have and should have been there but I wanted to watch the game with my Mrs and that meant staying at home. I hope this result can galvanise your side to push on and get higher up the table, and just hope the disappointment isnât too much of a hindrance to the bluebirds, at least we will not have too much time to think about it, with a massive game against the hammers looming . All the best for the season, and once again MANY CONGRATS....
Cardiff were amazing today. As much as we may have dominated possesion, I felt that you guys created the slicker passing moves. Also some unbelievable defending from you guys. Hope you get promoted
The Cardiff team are a credit to Wales and put in a huge performance! It could have gone either way and you are right to be proud of your boys
Thanks for the kind words. It was an excellent cup final and Cardiff pushed us all the way. Some outstanding defending from Cardiff as well! Good luck for the rest of the season and hopefully we'll meet in the Premier League next season!
Ben Turner- what a game he had. Was probably my MOM, up there with Skrtel... Cardiff showed the passion and determination that I'd expect an underdog Liverpool side to show in a final.
Brave performance by Cardiff. Obviously these words won't really be much of a consolation when you've just lost a cup final in the cruelest of ways, but it has to be said, even if its been said a thousand times by other people. Your players and fans are a credit to the club, the city and the country. I hope you will go up through the playoffs this season, because you deserve it after all the heartache you've suffered in the championship and at Wembley. Am sure most other Liverpool fans will be fully behind Cardiff in their quest for promotion.
I agree with Wahay, & Coleman (For Once), and for me it was between Skrtel and Turner for MOM.....But i would have probably opted for Turner (hudson was immense when on the pitch mind) -
Cardiff put Welsh footy back on the world stage today, dont let those bitter jacks that got beat today tell you any different Bluebirds.
Cardiff where superb, a terrible way to lose a final. Done the Championship proud & this comes from a Bristol City fan!!!
I can't believe the number of Swans fans giving lip in the Cardiff group! Like they showered themselves in glory today!
Excellent perfomrance from Cardiff making them more than worthy opponents. A few have said they hope you come up this season, I don't if you're going to play like that against us again! Wish you all the best for the rest of the season and hope it goes well for you!
Swansea are a good side, with their manager and team, i think they be in the premier next year, i just hope we can do the necessary and go to the promised land a welsh derby in the prem would be a great specale of british football..
We're not all bitter Kopite - so please don't tar us all with the same brush! Was gutted for my many close freinds from Cardiff after the cruel manner of their defeat. And Noble - may not have 'showered ourselves in glory' but played a Stoke team that worked out how to win against us. Yes, there are some bitter posters on these boards - but there are also some of us who can take a defeat graciously and also put petty rivalries aside and admit when our near neighbours have put in a performance that they should be proud of! I am proud of the way Swansea have acquitted themselves so far in the Premier League, and Cardiff fans should also be proud of the way their team have exceeded pre season expectations. So cut us some slack guys - we have our fair share of muppets - but also have some decent and fair minded fans! So come on Cardiff - crack on and join us bitter and twisted Jacks in the Premier League!
Had a brilliant day Cardiff fans, team and management were a credit to their club, city and their country today. I felt over the 120 minutes we deserved the end result but pens are so cruel on any team so The Bluebirds have my genuine sympathies (although I am glad you lost and not us ).
